"Follow me, but stay quiet."

He tip-toed forwards, strategically avoiding all the foliage around him. I did the same, syncing his movements to mine.

We reached a railroad, burgundy red in color and peeled brown splattered about. There was a railroad crossing sign a few feet away, flashing white on and off.

He lunged forward and swiftly twisted his body around to sit facing eye-to-eye with me.

"What are we doing here? Isn't this illegal?" I started to worry.

"I want to bring you somewhere."

"Where?"

As soon as he stood up, a train zipped behind him with furocious winds. It knocked him sideways, bruising his right knee with the metal underneath.

"Daniel! Are you okay?" I rushed down to turn his face towards mine. His forehead was scraped, probably from a rock next to the tracks. "Daniel, tell me if you're okay."

He didn't respond, his eyes opening and shutting repeatedly. The train made a harsh stop, screeching loudly against the hard material.

"He's not fine darling."

I screamed until my lungs gave out. The utterly disgusting voice blew onto my neck and flung my hairs up. I stretched as far as I could upwards and steadily looked around my shoudler, adjusting my body with it.

"Who are you..."

"Hush my darling." He shushed me with his pointer finger laying on my lips. My eyes focused onto his finger, then flickered back to him.

"My name is Adaine. I hope Daniel told you about me."

I tilted my head sideways, frouning my brows with confusion. "No?"

"So he didn't tell you about me."

I nodded. This man sure is dumb.

"Well then, I guess he didn't tell you about the Evils."

The last thing I saw was four fingers, crunched into a knuckle, rush straight towards my face.

And then I was out.
