Mari: Didn't class start for you already, sweetie?

Young K: I should be saying the same for you, silly.

M: Hey, at least I go to class :P

Y: I'm here now, aren't I?

M: Text me after, hun. I love you.

Y: I love you more.

I finally look up from my phone to see the teacher lecturing over last night's homework, something I had, thankfully, completed on time thanks to Mari's help. She said she wasn't great at Math, but that was a total lie when compared to me.

She'd been a bit sad lately since I couldn't see her as often as I'd like, but I was proud of her for holding up as best as she could.

I cut my hair since the last time I saw her, and once I sent Mari photos, her first reaction was, "At least it's not a mullet, right?" She asked why I cut it, and I told her that I wanted a change.

However, little does she know, it was to try and get myself to look less appealing to Ari.

Dowoon, who had become a great friend in the past few weeks here, had spilled some news to me about Ari, Jae's friend, liking me, and I was not here for any of that.

She's blabbering up front with Jae, almost boring him as he keeps his reactions to smiles and head nods.

I finally go back to paying attention, seeing Dowoon at the board, writing the answer for a math problem, and the class claps. Once they begin their applaud, I dive back into my phone to go and text Mari.

Tell Seola that her boyfriend is very smart.

The teacher clears his throat, and I look back up, already knowing what words are going to come out of his mouth.

"Brian, Ari. You two seem to be very invested in conversations that aren't happening at the board today," he says, crossing his arms.

"Shit," I curse under my breath.

I see Dowoon smirk. "At least I was able to answer the question," he whispers.

"I'm having you two as cleaning duty today," the teacher settles, erasing Jae's and Dowoon's name from the board and replacing it with mine and Ari's.

Jae shoots Ari a dagger-filled look, and I feel myself gag.

Dammit. Mari won't be happy to hear about this.
