I Loved You

I told Jana that I was cleaning the classroom, but, since Young K and Ari took the hit for me today, I decided to surprise her at her workplace. She quit her job at the arcade to work at a coffee shop with Seola, and while I was grateful that she had a friend to work with, Jana was still overworking herself, even if she didn't want to admit it.

I parked my car down the street from the coffee shop in her town and walked up to it, peering inside the window to see if I could catch a glimpse of my gorgeous girlfriend. She has her hair pulled back in a ponytail and is wearing a simple white shirt--one that she would probably stain by the end of the night.

I walk in, and immediately see a smile grow on her face.

"He's a customer," Seola reminds, booping Jana's head and walking to the other end of the counter.

"Hi, sir, what can I get for you?" she asks, biting her lip.

"I'll try the macchiato," I say, pointing at the menu on the counter.

"Ahh, one of my favorites. Would you like to try it with caramel today?" Jana giggles, inputting my order.

"Yeah, why not?" I smile at her, and see her cheeks become bright red.

"It's on the house. I'll call you when your order is ready."

"Can I tip you?" I ask, leaning over the counter and lightly poking her cheek.

"Maybe later... I finish at 6," she flirts, nodding at the clock.

"Perfect."

I take a seat, watching her make my drink. As upset as I was that Ari would be in a room alone with Young K, the gray cloud instantly disappears as soon as I lay my eyes on Jana. No matter how long we were together, I still look at her like we just met.

"One caramel macchiato," Jana coos, putting the drink down.

I smile at her, observing her as she works and helps other customers. I can't help but laugh to myself, thinking about how cute she looks.

Seola keeps Jana in check, telling her to pay attention to the customers, even if I were there.

My smile slowly fades, thinking about how I would have to tell her Ari was alone with Young K today just so I could be here.
