Chapter 9: BREAKUP

John has never felt more awkward. He loved Angelica like a sister, she was kind, loving, independent and beautiful. Why did John hate her all if a sudden. No-no he was alright, this was just a normal stroll with friends. His eyes darted to Alexander as the four walked to the pond, where Maria and Peggy were all.

Alexander, such a beautiful name in Johns opinion. The short guy was smart to say at least, aced all his classed and never once failed a test. His attitude was rather outgoing, and he never stopped talking. John liked he way his eyes lid up every time they talked about something Alex was interested in, and surprisingly most of those conversations were based off himself.

John didn't even realize he had a crush until he saw Alex touching Angelica. He knew Alex and Angelica were dating, just not that they were that serious about the relationship. Maybe he was just protective? Yeah that's it.

His mind wandered to a few nights ago, Alex was talking to his voice again. The conversation went like this- "No, we can't. they'll know it was us- too obvious- too messy- no not quick, I want to make it hurt-!"

Yes John liked Alex, but that didn't excuse this from being a but spine tingling for John. It- it almost sounded like murder? No, that can't be. Alex doesn't seem like the one to actually kill someone.

Alex held Angelicas hand and John narrowed his eyes. Did Alexander smirk? John couldn't tell.

"So..how's Francis?" Eliza asked, extremely close to John, that it made him uncomfortable. He didn't see Alex's glare

He'd been so caught up with Alex that he didn't think of his boyfriend at all.

Francis was...okay he guessed. A bit controlling and bit abusive. Every time their alone all he wants is sex and drugs. It pisses off John because they barely see each other anymore. But yet, he still likes him in an odd way.

"He's alright I guess.." John trailed off.
"Did he do something wrong?" Alexander asked, there was a weird glint in his eyes.

They all took a seat near the pond, Eliza now sitting super close to him Angelica and Alexander got closer to them.

"Nah, Lex, he just doesn't have time I guess...."

Alex looked over simpatheticly, how he wanted to hug him, hold him, hold him down, bite him, okay let's move on.

"Doesn't really matter, I'm planning to break up with him anyways." John tells them. Yes, John would still like him, I mean Francis was there for him in highschool, but maybe it was time to move on. Alex perked up instantly,"I can help you find a new boyfriend if you'd like." His eyes were hopeful.

John blushed a bit and nodded.

The four of them continued to talk, Maria and Peggy joined them after they got sodas and chips for everyone.
Everything was going smoothly when Johns phone vibrated. It was from Francis.

Francis😘~
Hey, babe I'm sorry to say, but I'm breaking up with you, I found someone I like a whole lot more that you. Have fun with the rest of your life.

Johns eyes widened. Really?? Text break up? Out of all the Impudent- John didn't finish his thought as tears filled his eyes.

"What's wrong?" Alex was at his side instantly holding his shoulder. The girls all looked concerned.

"I-its just- here" He handed the phone to Alex.

Alex's eyes were searching and scanning when he found it. He cringed at the '😘' in Francis name. He read the text slowly before growling and handed the phone to the girls. He placed an arm around Johns shoulder and comforted him, whispering sweet words to him. John felt a bit better.

"I'm gonna kill him!" Peggy screeched bawling up her fist, Maria tried to calm her down. "You alright Laurey?" Eliza placed her hand on Johns knee.
Alex's eyes narrowed at her, but he didn't say anything.

"I-im fine." John faked a smile, "I guess I was just thinking of how I'd let him down easy, but he-he just did this-and."

"Why don't we go back the dorms?" Angelica suggested. "We can watch Disney movies!" Peggy smiled softly. "I'll get the blankets." Maria grinned. "I'll get the ice cream!" Eliza jumped up. Alex just helped John up, the weird look in his eyes again. "And I'll make sure you're happy." He said.

"Thanks guys." John smiled through tears. "You're all the best." He was lucky to have such amazing friends by his side.

What he didn't know, was that Alex had something planned for Johns happiness. Something planned indeed.

A/N: My moms an asshole, she's forcing me into "female" clothing, she threatened to take away my boots (the only male thing I own) and called me a boy as if it was offensive.
She told me, "I don't care if you don't feel comfortable, I care if you look pretty."
I'm not even joking, I felt like crying because if I told her I'm Bigender (I'm leaning towards male for some reason) That she won't accept me.
