Kai ran past the doctor, followed by the others and the doctor, who was calling for Kai to slow down. Kai didn't listen, of course, and flew through the corridor, startling nurses, doctors and patients before sliding into the room Nya was in and freezing. Nya was lying on the hospital bed, tubes all over her arm and a breathing mask over her mouth. A heart monitor to her left beeped unevenly, but constantly. Her eyes were shut, almost like she was sleeping, and her chest moved shallowly. He crept over to her side as the others caught up with him. They watched as he grabbed her hand gently and stared down at her sadly. "How long will she be like this?" he asked. "We don't know how long it'll be until she wakes up. We don't even know if she will wake up," the doctor walked forward to put his hand on Kai's shoulder, "I'm sorry I can't tell you more." Kai looked down, pulling away from the doctor. He pulled back, frowning, before a nurse rushed into the room. "Doctor Mathews," she panted, "Mr Demic just came in. He's fallen through his skyroof again." He frowned, then turned to Jay. "I've got to go. He'll be fine, right?" Jay nodded and the doctor left. Jay looked over at Kai uncertainly. "Are you gonna be fine, Kai?" he asked softly. Kai didn't respond and Jay exchange a concerned look with Cole. "Look, Kai..." before Cole could finish, Kai stood up and let go of Nya's hand. They saw his body start shaking, with sadness or anger they did not know. At least, until he turned around. His brown eyes glowed with a fury none of the other's had ever seen. His mouth was pressed into a tight angry line and his eyebrows shadowed his eyes evilly. "That girl is going to pay for what she's done to Nya," he growled. "Kai, we are not going to just drop all of our responibilities just to go find that..." "Not we," Kai interrupted Cole's objection, "Me."

I know, short chapter. Sorry. But I couldn't think of how to expand it anymore :P. Anyway, next chapter is a time skip to the ninja saying their farewells to Kai (trying to stop him).
