"What do you mean?" Kai growled into the phone. He heard a crackle and a soft thump. "You still there, Kai?" Zane's voice asked calmly. Jay had obviously been too distressed to speak. "Of course I am," he snapped back, "Now what's wrong with Nya?" "You should come home right away," Zane replied, avoiding the question calmly. "What's wrong with her?" Kai growled, gritting his teeth. When no reply came, he punched the wall. "TELL ME!" He heard a beep, then the line went dead. Zane had hung up on him. He squeezed his eyes shut, breathing heavily. He hated not knowing what was wrong. He hated it so much. He took a deep breath and opened his eyes. Naomi stood right in front of him. He gasped and jumped back, dropping the phone. She picked it up and stepped forward, holding it out for him. He scowled and snatched it out of her outstretched hand, now noticing the finger like dents emended in the sides. He pocketed it, then turned to the door. "Where are you going?" Naomi asked. He turned to her and saw the look of sadness on her face. He shook his head. Why would she be sad? Maybe she was disappointed in her cousin. Her cousin. He looked to the twins. The girl didn't show any remorse and that made him even angrier. Before anyone knew it, Kai grabbed her hair and ripped her from her brother's arms. She screamed in pain as he dragged her from the room. "Kai, stop!" Naomi shouted as she darted in front of him. He froze, but didn't let go of Olivia's hair. "Move," he growled. Naomi stumbled back, startled by the anger doing in his voice. "Kai..." Before she could finish, he had her pressed against the wall by hey neck. "I said move," he snarled, before letting her fall to the ground, gasping for breath. He started towards the door again, but froze when he heard sobbing. "Kai...please..." It was Naomi. But Kai couldn't move. Her voice sounded so much like Nya's on that fateful day...

Kai sat in the yard, rolling his toy truck around in the mud. "Vroom vroom." Nya say beside him, watching the trucks wheels spin with her mouth hanging open in awe. Kai saw her and threw the truck at a bird that was hopping around nearby. It squawked in fear and spread it's wings, before flying off hurriedly. Nya's soft, ebony hair bounced on her shoulders as she giggled, clapping her hands in joy. Kai smiled. He loved the sound of his sister's laughter. It was so innocent. Suddenly, he heard the door slam open. The yard felt silent as both children looked towards the house. Their uncle stood there, a bottle of whiskey in his hand. Another bottle rolled out from behind him. He was drunk. "E...Ey...M...Mia..." he shouted, his words slurring together. He always called Nya 'Mia', and Kai 'Jackson'. Kai hated it. Nya's was sort of fine, cause the names sound similar, but how do you get Jackson from Kai? He didn't understand. "C...c'mere, girlie..." their uncle continued, waggling his bony finger at the two. Nya frowned at Kai and they both stood and started towards the house. "N...o, Jackson...y...you st...stay 'ere." Kai froze. Nya looked back at him, but before she could do anything, Uncle put his hand on her back and shoved her into the house, shaming the door behind them. Kai turned and went to sit back down in the mud. He picked up a toy car and started burying it in the sticky mud. It was silent for a few minutes, the only sound being the mud squelching over the car, before suddenly Kai could hear screaming from the house. He jumped up and ran to the door, but it was locked. He looked around and saw an open window to his left. He took the chance and dived through, scraping his knee on the window sill. He stood up and ran towards the kitchen, where the screaming was coming from. As he neared the door, he heard Nya's terrified cry. "NO!" A loud crash and a whoosh followed. Kai finally reached the door, but before he could open it, his uncle slammed it open, knocking him over. He sat up and immediately felt the blood flowing down from his brow. He stood up and ran into the room, seeing the flames licking up the walls and Nya cowering under the table. Tears gushed down her face as she sobbed and hiccuped in fear. She saw Kai and her eyes widened. "K...Kai..." she sobbed, "P...please..." Before she could finish her plea, her eyes fluttered shut and her she'll pink lips opened slightly. She was unconscious. "Nya!" Hash screamed, before rushing into the burning room to save his younger sister.

That was the day Kai has vowed to keep Nya out of harms way; keep her safe from the horrible world. It was the day he had to leave behind his innocent childhood. It was the day he became who he was today. He took a deep breath and turned to face Naomi. He let go of Olivia's hair. She scrambled to her feet and ran into her brother's arms. "I... I'm sorry," he murmured, looking at them with pure sorrow, "I'm just...worried about my sister..." Oliver nodded. "I understand." Olivia pulled away from Oliver as she spoke. "We will come with you and help in anyway we can," she looked down, ashamed, "The liquid in the syringe was only meant to make her woozy, not put her into a coma. I'm every so sorry." Kai smiled. "I understand," he said. She looked up at him and smiled. "I'll just write mother a note," Naomi said. Kai looked at her. She was back to her normal self; grave and serious. She turned and walked off. Kai frowned. What was up with her? "Do not mind Naomi," Olivia said, smirking, "She's a master at hiding her feelings. She totes had the hots for you." With that, she and her brother followed after their cousin. Kai felt a blush creep onto his face. She liked him? So she was saddened by his near departure. For some reason, that kind of made him happy. A girl liked him. A smart one at that. "Huh, would you look at that," he muttered to himself, before following after the three with a big smile plastered on his face.

The sequel will be about the ninja's(and samurai's) kids (who don't know their parents are the ninja(and samurai) ) and the prequel will be about Ollie, Tym and Austin's lives in the street(and maybe Naomi too). I may start another series or two too. So keep a look out :)

Ponder about the many possibilities of what's going to happen, cause it is gonna be so epic and unexpected. If any one guesses it correctly, I'll feature you in the epic chapter. :)
And you can take another cookie cause I'm rambling.
