CHAPTER 3

Arita woke up to the terrifying sound of her alarm clock and the hooting laughter of her insignificant bothers.

It was Saturday and she had set her alarm for 11:00 because she wanted to get to the library, but I guess her brothers did a pretty great job of giving her a morning heart attack. What on earth could they be doing? Probably watching last nights game and throwing some kind of food at each other. Typical. For have having one brother in college and another about to graduate high school, you'd think they'd be a little more respectful, but no, why would they? They. Are. Teenagers.

Arita sighed and stretched in her queen bed. Then she sat up, dug her feet into her blue fuzzy slippers and trudged down the stairs.

"What on earth are you guys doing?" Arita yelled as she rubbed her right eye, still half asleep.

The boys turned to her, Michael was in the recliner and Jacob was on the couch.

"Sorry sis" Jacob laughed, his crooked bottom teeth showing, he had the cutest dimpled, imperfect smile Arita had ever seen. And his dirty-blonde hair made him the ladies man he is today. He had blue eyes as bright as the sky. Quirky and cute is what Arita called him. And Michael, he was just a ladies man. They both were! But Michael, he was the kind you'd see in movies. He was tall and built, he had dark brown hair that spiked slightly at the tips. He had bright green eyes that sparkled with a playful laughter of a seven-year-old child.

"Yeah sorry, did we wake you?" Michael asked sarcastically.

Arita rolled her eyes and smiled.

"Yes smart alic." She bent down and picked up a grape.

"really?" she asked, then laughed whole-heatedly. She flicked the grape at Michael and ran into the kitchen to avoid further throwing.

"Is dad here?" Arita yelled from the kitchen.

"No he went to work, so did mom." Jacob yelled back. Then all Arita heard was the sound of the TV rising. Which meant the boys were done talking.

Arita huffed to herelf, grabbed an apple and walked to the couch to sit next to Jacob. She curled her feet up on the couch in cris-cross and went to bite into her apple then stopped.

"This isn't going to get thrown at me, right?" She asked sarcastically as smirked.

"Ha-ha, very funny." Michael half-laughed, then glanced back at the football game.

"You guys do know dad will kill you if he comes home to this mess right?"

"He won't see it." Jacob answered, his eyes not leaveing the screen.

Right. Because whenever the boys make a mess it always cleaned up! Ha like to see that happen.

"Besides we have ten hours." Michael added, still watching the game, then, "Go! Go! Go!" Jacob joined Michael's chant for the team leading a touch-down.

"Yes!" the boys yelled, half off their seats. There was too much hooting and chanting. So Arita rolled her eyes and walked up to her bedroom.

CHAPTER 4

"Knock knock." Michael said, knocking on Arita's door.

"Come in." Arita answered focusing on her book.

"Whatcha up to sis?" He asked.

Arita sighed as looked up at Michael, "what'd you do?"

Michael threw his hands up in innocents, "Nothing!"

"Righhht. You never freely come up and ask what I'm doing."

He sighed in defeat.

"Okay, we need you to help us clean the downstairs..."
