UNFORTUNATE DAY
[Kinzy's POV]
I lay down in my bed after I arrived in our house. My parents aren't around, as usual, and I'm thankful so I don't have to explain why I am smiling like I was some kind of a mad man. The maids just look at me but didn't try to make conversation out of it. I'm also thankful that I don't have a nanny to brag me about it since my mom just love me so much that she didn't even let someone else raised me.
After our hot make out session at Ethan's boardinghouse, he said he wanted to rest and thus shooing me away in a very cute manner. God, I really wanted to kiss him all day but I stop myself since he really need some rest after our small discussion about what happened yesterday. At first he was kind of panic and started to cuss under his breath, he even said that it's his fault that I was drag into that scandal. Geez! I'm the one who drag him to that scandal and not him dragging me. I leave him alone and I promise to pick him up tomorrow morning for school.
I fished out my phone when it ringed twice. I groaned when I saw it was Kenji. What did he wants?
"Moshi-moshi [Hello]," I greeted him in his native language.
"Ogenki desuka? [How are you?]" Now I regretted using his native language.
"I'm fine." I just said, trying to make him speak to me in my own language.
"Good, so how was your boyfriend?"
"He's good and we're good."
"That's great. I'll meet him tomorrow night."
"What?" I literally jump up from my bed with the announcement. "You're back? Did the gang know?"
"Nope, I wanted to surprise them."
"Then why did you call me? Am I not included for the surprise?" I chuckle when he growled like a baby tiger. Oh, Mighty Kenji growled like a baby tiger that haven't gotten his fang yet. It's cute. No, no. Ethan is cuter than any of the tiny things in this world. I smile.
"I know you hate surprises and so I'm not gonna surprise you." He said while laughing softly.
I nodded. It's true that I hate surprises. I remember when they surprise me in my 15th birthday and I didn't talk to them for the whole week. But I love surprising them.
"Okay, so, do you want me to give you a red carpet arrival at the airport?" I teased him.
"Baka! [Stupid!]" He said while laughing softly at the end of the line, "I'll be there at around 5PM tomorrow."
"With them?" I referred to his parents, "Oka-san soshite Oto-san? [Mom and Dad]"
"Nope, they wanted to stay there for a bit longer since my uncle, dad's brother from Croatia arrived yesterday. You know the one they haven't seen for a very long time." He was shrugging his shoulder, I can feel.
"What about you? Aren't you going to bond with him?" I lay down again in my bed.
"I seriously don't like him. He was calling me badass-rich-kid-with-high-maintenance which is I don't like because, you know me."
True. Kenji was one of the few rich kids who don't like when someone called them that way. He was so down to Earth and very humble. He doesn't even like buying very expensive item. You know what I mean. I and Kenji are the only one in the gang who don't seriously owned Ferrari's car. We simply don't like that fucking expensive car though that's literally deserved to drool about but we don't want to have one. The only expensive thing he has was his wrist watch that he got from his parents when he turned 20. That's a Patek Philippe Ref. 1518 in Stainless Steel which he change the strap into a leather one instead of its original strap, well that causes a lot more of money but his parents didn't bother. What a rich folks.
