GRAND ACQUAINTANCE BALL

[Kinzy's POV]

I let out a loud sigh of relief when we are finally putting on the last minute changes to the place. This is where the Acquaintance Ball will be held this evening. The decorating team drags me to the place after they said that all the expensive crystal balls they rented wont be available until tonight so I suggested that instead of the crystal balls we should put on the most convenience one thus we scratch down to the baby blue and baby pink balloons that we set up just now.

This is a fucking ball and not a christening party but the balloons were more than convenience than to wait for those crystal balls they rented. I nodded to the idea though I didn't like the color of the balloons I still agreed to put it in instead of waiting for those balls which we are not sure if those were still available.

"Thanks Pres." They said in unison while giggling in my presence. That's Charm, Chris, Joven, Frix, Chime and Hershey. They are all came from the Glee Club that was, I, assigned to be the one who will be in-charge in decoration since the other club was assigned to the other work.

They make the whole function hall looks like a castle's grand ball, well, except for the balloons. Don't get me wrong, I don't hold grudges to the balloons, it's just, it seems it's not appropriate to be there. I hate the colors, maybe.

"Okay, so were good here?" I ask them.

"Yes Pres." They said in unison, they are the most cooperative team I work with and I'm happy.

"Okay, so you can go now and start preparing for the ball." I said while smiling into them. "And thank you for all the hard works and efforts you put in here." I added, well, as the President of the Student's Council, I am obliged to appreciate what they have done.

"Welcome Pres." Charm said

"Anytime Pres." Hershey said

They all kiss me in the cheeks which I let them to give them my sincere thanks, and they bid their goodbyes to me. For sure, the whole school soon will know that I let them kiss me. I let out a soft laugh to that.

I glance to the whole preparations once again and nodded for the job well done before I walk to the corner of the hall to check on the sound system.

"How's the preparation here?" I ask the Music Club President who was standing at the front of the monitor where the music playlist where shuffling.

"Everything is good Kinz," Arwyn Fitzgerald said while smiling. I know this guy was gay and I admire the whole club for understanding him and still giving him the opportunity to lead the club since this guy was really as good as Bruno Mars himself.

"Good." I said while eyeing the whole playlist. "What songs are you playing guys?"

"We mix a little bit of disco hits and some more of a country and love songs." He said while shrugging his shoulder, "What do you think?"

"You know that I'm not really good with this stuff and so I think it's great." Yeah, I only know how to play guitar but I didn't really have such ears for music.

"Okay then, we'll take that as your go signal." He smirks at me and I smile back.

"Okay, good luck for tonight. I'll head out first and check on the other club."

I wave my hand to them before walking out of the sound system room and head out to the MC's who were rehearsing their lines for tonight. "You guys prepared for that the whole week, why don't you go and make yourself presentable for tonight?" I smile to both Lizella Jones and Aaron Miller both are Senators in my line up, who were arguing about who comes first and what the other should say after. I cross my arms in my chest while looking at them.
