14: Percy meets Annabeth...again

Sally’s PoV:

I was in my apartment, with Paul, crying my eyes out. My Percy, my little boy was gone. How could I live with myself? You have to be strong, said a voice in my head. For Percy. He wouldn’t have wanted you to do this. He would’ve wanted you to continue your life. Suddenly there’s a bright light, and a note floats down to the ground.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Blofis,

You son Percy has chosen to be reborn into this life again instead of Elysium. We can’t fully reborn someone exactly the same as they were before, so Percy will now be one year older. Also, his memories will take time to come back. He won’t remember anything at all and you must tell him that he had amnesia and that he goes to High School and has had a normal life. He must remember all his quests by himself so don’t tell him anything. We will send him to you after you finish reading this letter. Please act as if it is a normal day after school, and don’t squash him or show any signs that something happened.

“Percy is coming back!!” I yelled. Paul was grinning like mad.

“Yes, but we can’t do anything suspicious. Get ready,” he said to me. Just that second there’s another flash of light, the letter’s disappeared, but there’s Percy standing in the living room.

“Ummmm… Mom?” he asks looking at me weirdly.

“Oh honey you remember!” I say as I hug him.

“Wh-what happened?” he asks again.

“You fell down the stairs and got a concussion, and well you had amnesia, but the doctor said you’d get better and now you remember me!!” I say again happily.

“Oh, right…” he says slowly.

“You remember more now, right? You go to Goode High School, your friends Jeremy, Tina, Alex and Sam, you remember right?” Paul asks him.

“Yeah… yeah that’s right… I remember now!” he says happily.

“You better be off to bed. I don’t want you late for school tomorrow and if you are tell everyone what happened, ok?” I say to him as I push him towards his bedroom.

“Ok fine. Goodnight mom!” he tells me.

Percy’s PoV:

BEEP BEEP BEEP

“Ugh,” I groan and slam my hand down on the alarm clock. I couldn’t believe I had gotten amnesia! I remembered pretty much everything now, all my friends, my locker combination and so on, but something seemed wrong. Like I had missed a chunk of my life completely. Must be the amnesia, I thought. I took a quick shower, changed and then stuffed my face with blue pancakes.

“By Percy!” my mom calls.

“By mom!” I call back. At the bus stop, I see a familiar person. I realize its Jeremy, one of my best friends.

“Hey man!” I greet him. He just stares at me like I’m crazy.

 “That’s all you say? Eight months and that’s all you say?” he shoots back at me.

“Look I’m so sorry but I had a concussion. I fell down the stairs and got amnesia. I’m so sorry but I don’t really remember what happened the past months. And what’s the date today?” I tell him.

“Oh wow…that’s why your mom was so worried no wonder. Oh well you missed about a whole school year.  Today is the first day of school.”

“Thanks for understanding, Jeremy,” I smile at him.

-------------------------TIME LAPSE--------------------------

“PERCY JACKSON!!! WHERE THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU’VE BEEN THE LAST FEW MONTHS??!!!!!” shout all the rest of my friends as I enter the school. But Jeremy stands up.

“Hey guys, don’t kill him. He fell down the stairs, got a concussion. Not to mention amnesia,” he says.

“Oh. Sorry Percy,” Tina says sheepishly. I guess I should describe my friends. Tina has long, dark hair, and deep blue eyes. Jeremy has light brown hair, and eyes that are so deep brown, they sometimes look black. Alex has blond hair and eyes that look like they’re made of chocolate. Sam has bright red hair and sky-blue eyes. Jeremy and Tina are going out, while so are Alex and Sam. Through the speakers, the Principal announces that we’re going to have an assembly.

“Wonder what’s it about?” asks Sam.

“Probably the ‘Welcome the new kids’ assembly, like every year,” answers Tina. When we’re there, I see a flash of blonde hair. I look to see a pretty girl, with blonde hair, not the bleached kind, but more honey-blonde. She has amazing storm grey eyes. When she sees me she makes a little gasp. Her eyes begin to tear up. She grabs the hand of a Native American girl standing next to her. When the Native American girl sees me., she gasps too. She turns to the blonde, but she’s already running away, tears streaming down her cheeks. I need to know what happened. There’s something about her… that I can’t understand. I feel like I should know her, but I don’t. So I run after her. I run away from the assembly hall and turn around a corner to see her sitting, pulling her knees to her chest, crying her eyes out.

Hello!!

So there you see? Percy comes back! Ha! I gave you what you wanted... or did I? Percy doesn't remember Annabeth anymore!! Yes, I know it's sad, but the Three Judges said he'd get his memory back after some while, so we just need to wait!! And if I have any spelling mistakes, please tell me because I was in a hurry to finish writing this.
