Chapter 8

It'd been just over 2 weeks since I'd got out of hospital , Dan apologised later that night whilst I was winning at Sonic , saying he was sorry and he shouldn't have raged blah blah blah .

It was weird between us now, like we'd become friends and all , it was like we had both forgotten about the whole making out thing , I was fine with it , though I knew by now that I really liked Dan , just euk I don't know .

Dan came over one day holding something behind his back .

"What's that ? " I asked turning my attention from Tumblr to him .

" A present" He smiled , his dimples on full view making me laugh .

"For me ?!" I teased, closing the laptop and running over to him trying to grab it , Dan raised it above his head , I tried jumping to get it, but he's so bloody tall .

"Daaaan," I pouted , batting my eyelashes at him " Pweeease can I have the pwesent" I used my girliest , childish voice , swinging my hips forwards and backwards .

"Oh I suppose.." Dan laughed , handing it to me .

I ripped the small present which revealed a little box , I looked up, confused but continued to open it .

"Headphones!" I laughed going and hugging Dan " Thank you Daniel."

"Quite alright Theodora"

I shot him a look and slapped him on the arm .

"So , I was wondering if you want to go out , I want you to meet Inori,she's like you, a lot , just a little less violent .." Dan said .

"Im not that violent .." I said , biting my piercing remembering only yesterday when I stabbed Dan with a pen in the arm because  he annoyed me. Dan raised his eyebrows at me , lifting up his sleeve showing me a little scar .

" Maybe I'm a little violent.." I admitted , Dan nodded in agreement.

"Little being a pretty big understatement" He murmerred .

"Hey!" I threw a pillow at his face making him squeal and fall backwards .

"Dan!" I rushed over to him, kneeling beside him, "You ok!?" I asked panicked slightly .

He nodded up , pushing himself up slightly bringing his face awkwardly close to mine , he looked down at my lips , and I swear he was going to lean in . I stood up quickly coughing awkwardly.

"Well if you're ok we should go ." I stepped over Dan and headed towards the door , I heard Dan sigh as he got up and walked in front of me . I closed the door mentally kicking myself .

"So this Inori," I said quickly changing the subject, " You sure she's going to like me , I mean I don't get along with a lot of people and vis-versa ." I asked jogging down the stairs behind Dan .

"Sure, once you remove all the many piercings, eyeliner and all of the scary rock t-shirts , you're only slightly scary . " Dan sarcastically mocked opening the door for me as I stepped Into the outside world .

I nudged him in the sides with my elbow. " Stop it ! Buy seriously, you think she'll like me ?" I covered my eyes from the sun and looked up and Dan who was looking straight down the road .

Dan nodded " Uhuh, you two like all the same things and all so yeah , you'll be fine " Dan reasuringly told me , finally looking down .

I nodded looking back down the road still a bit uncertain .

"She's called Inori?" I asked , I liked the name but it was a little different , it sounded slightly Japanesey, thinking about it I swear there is an anime character called that ...

"Yeah her uh dad really like anime so yuss." Dan answered , I knew it .

"Thats cool , much better than Theodora."  My names way too poncey and too girly, like the complete opposite of me .

" I don't know , Theodora is cute and Teddi is plain sexy" Dan shot me a wink making me laugh .

"Shut up you."

It wasn't long til we arrived at a smallish cafè, I saw a girl a little shorter than me with Dan's colouring and hair colour .

"That her?" I whispered subtly pointing at the girl . Dan nodded "NORI!" He shouted making the girl turn around smiling at Dan. Wow you could mistake them for siblings , they looked really a like .

Dan waved and nudged me forward making me unnaturally blush . Why was I so nervous ?

"Nori, Teddi , Teddi ,Nori" Dan introduced , I stuck my hand up in a still wave which she quietly laughed at .

"God you're both as awkward as eachother, I'll be right back with some drinks Teddi, get along nicely you two " Dan winked at us as he went into the cafè.

I took a seat opposite Inori.

"God he's a Dick " I laughed shaking my head , Inori laughed too " Tell me about it . "

We talked about how long she'd known Dan and vis-versa , What she was going at Uni , What I was doing , and before we knew it Dan was back with the drinks .

"Told you you two would get along" Dan smirked .

"You know Teddi , Dan never shuts up about you . All I hear is Teddi this , Teddi that . No offence but its getting slightly annoying , can you stop 'being really amazing' please " She laughed making me laugh awkwardly looking subtly at Dan who was shooting daggers at Inori.

We talked and drank for around an hour , Inori was really cool and Dan was right we did like the same stuff , it'd be cool to have a girl bestfriend , I mean Dan was good , better than good . But I can't talk to Dan about periods or boys or whatever girls talk about .

After a while Nori had to leave to go study some stuff for Uni , that's one difference then , she actually studies .

"I knew you two would like eachother!" Dan smiled pulling a proud smile .

"Yeah she's cool , anything ever , you know ..happen between you two?" I asked , it'd been in my mind the whole time we'd been talking , she was pretty and completely Dan's type.

"No, never , she's always been just a friend . " Dan smiled .

I silently exhaled , relieved .

" So , I've realised I've been over to your place a lot . You wanna come back to mine ? I've got a roomate that you'd probably like . Your the first friend I'd of introduced him to " Dan suggested standing up .

Wow two people in a day , that's like more than my whole lifetime . Meeting Inori was pretty nerve racking but it'd turned out ok , I didn't really have anything to lose I guess , well he could really not like Me , kick me out and make sure Dan never saw me again .

But that was about it.

"Sure ." I smiled standing up .

I'm actually becoming social .
