Chapter 11

Hey guys I'm back with another chapter. The time I'm writing this is probably way before i actually publish it but i just want to say thanks for the 2.7k reads at this point in time. When i started writing on wattpad i thought getting to 100 reads was good but to have nearly 4000 people read this is amazing. All i need now is for people to comment and maybe i'll start updating more.

It was the dead of night, and in the Uchiha compound, it seemed to be silent without anyone around. This was because the guards were probably dead. It was the night of which Itachi and Shisui were killing all the adult Uchiha members. One by one the Uchiha fell. Itachi slowly sent a kunai each into the back of their heads, killing them almost instantaneously. Shisui used his body flicker technique to get up behind them and slit their throats. The blood of their victims stained the floor in each house they invaded, not stopping until each and every one of them were dead. The last ones left were Itachi's own parents, Fugaku and Mikoto Uchiha. Shisui was about to leave when he saw movement in one of the elder's houses. Whilst the adults had been slain, there were still three kids present in the house, and if one of them were awake, that could ruin the whole plan. Shisui told Itachi through the use of hand signs, before the two of them went to investigate.

At first, the small house seemed empty. All that was clear was the bodies of the elders littering the floor. This changed when they entered the children's room. I the corner of the room, there was a masked man, standing over the body of one of the children, kunai lodged in the child's throat. Filled with rage, Shisui charged the man, but his attack passed straight through him. Finally noticing him, the masked man turned to look at his assailant, before disappearing. The two Uchiha looked around fro him but decided he was gone. They only noticed his return when shisui had a kunai thrown at him from behind. As fast as shisui was, it did not stop the kunai from embedding itself into his back, puncturing one of his lungs. Shisui jumped back and landed next to Itachi. The 3 men looked at each other, none of which dared to make the first move. It was then when itachi noticed the sharingan in the singular hole in the mans mask. That was when they moved.

Itachi went first, aiming a kick at the mans head, but like before, it just phased through him. Shisui then went for another roundhouse, which also went through the mans torso. Both of the former Anbu paused, using their sharingan to analyse their opponents moves, but saw nothing. Before they started to fight again, the masked man let of a chilling laugh, stopping the two uchiha in their tracks.

"I admit" started the masked man, "I didn't expect you two to be as strong as you are. You do deserve your reputations. It seems as if you are strong enough to join me." With that said, the man disappeared in a vortex, leaving almost no sign that he was ever there. The Uchiha stood there for a moment, confused about what just occurred, before silently agreeing to continue their mission. The two of them walked to the clan heads house, inside being the instigators of this mission, Fugaku and Mikoto Uchiha, Itachi's own parents. Shisui stepped back to let Itachi complete the mission, respecting his decision. The usually stoic Anbu enters his lifelong home cautiously. His parents could be anywhere, his father isn't clan head for nothing. However instead of finding them ready to fight, he finds the two of them sitting in the main room, peacefully. His mother opens her eyes and looks at Itachi before opening her mouth to speak.

"Come Itachi, sit." She says, and as Itachi begins to step forward she continues. "We know why you're here Itachi. We've known for a long time where your loyalty lies, and while I am saddened that it is not with us, I respect your decision. Knowing you, we are the last ones on your kill list aren't we." She paused, waiting for an answer, and after seeing Itachi nod, she smiles lightly at him, causing the Anbu to falter for a second. However it's his father that continues the conversation. "We don't blame you son, if anything it is for the best. Our clan had been tormented with hatred for generations, and our uprising would have only worsened that. You are a brave man Itachi, doing this isn't something most people could do, but it is what you need to do. Just know that no matter what happens to us, we are still your family."
