Well this part shall be quite an interesting read for those who love Medieval Ages and the royal family of the English Moors. If ye are intrigued about Princess Ember though, this chapter will be ever more fascinating.

A dark carriage rumbled down the cobblestone road outside the castle, and heavy drops of rain fell from the grey afternoon sky. The carriage was taking Sovereign Nathan and Mistress Mary to another kingdom to stay for a moon, and princess Ember was thus assigned to watch over the castle. She sat before her window as she watched the carriage disappear in the horizon.

Embers room seemed to be dark and cold this afternoon because she was dark and cold. She longingly stared out of her window as she thought about the life she could have had at least. She was forever stuck as a fox because her former self died unfortunately. Her thick fluffy tail wrapped around her legs, and she shivered at the thought. Her form was drooped as she sat before her window. She had lost all her opportunity in a normal life. Her ears splayed back as the memory of the peasants filled her mind. She felt as if she should forgive them though. They did it out of hunger after all, and if she never forgave them she would always feel bitter. She sighed, and tilted her head down. She felt like an animal, like such an animal. She could still reason as a human, yet she would forever be trapped in a fox's body until she died. Ember choked back a sob as that last thought crossed her mind. She felt as if there was no hope for her. Her fox body wilted at that, and before any other thoughts crossed her mind, her servant, Maybelline, came into her room. She silently entered, and approached the fox in Embers room. Her black dress dragged silently behind her as she came up beside her.

"Madame? Would you hear me out on something of great importance?" Maybelline began.  "'Tis not about the empire, but about hope."

Princess Ember turned her head, and stared at her maid with an empty look in her fox eyes. She couldn't even dignify a response. All she could do was nod.

Maybelline sat on her bed, and picked up a pillow to toy with. She felt uncomfortable talking to someone without something to do with her hands.

"Ember..." she began once again. "Do you know what good life is?"

All Ember could do was shake her head in remorse because she didn't even know the answer.

"I will tell you then." Maybelline told her. "In the Bible at the sanctuary it says the main reason of life is to glorify God, and to love Jesus as He loved you. Another meaning of life is to be there for the ones who ye love. If you disappeared one day, so many would be heart broken, because there are people who love you so dearly. The pain you may feel on earth will never even come close to surpassing the glory you will obtain in the afterlife... in Heaven. Love Christ, love others, for the Lord will protect you."

Ember stared at her maid as if willing her to go on.

"Another thing is that if Heaven and God are too good to be real, I wouldn't be the person I have become." Maybelline told Ember. Ember's ears perked, and she suddenly wanted that kind of peace and assurance. "You see, the cure is hope, and if I kept it to myself, you wouldn't have been helped or comforted." Maybelline stated.

"As for your situation, just keep faith and put your trust in God, and he will surely take care of you because if He takes care of the wild creatures of the earth, He will surely take care of ye, my dearest Princess." Maybelline finished. "Even though you are currently a fox. I believe with everything in me that something can be done for you. Help is on the way."

Ember appreciated her words, and thought about it after she left. It was brave of her to say, and she liked that she cared enough to tell her.
