We are now nearing the end of this book, but Princess Ember and her parents are still searching for a way to turn her back into a human with no success. So will she ever be a human again? Well, we begin this scene in the gardens around the castle. A stone wall with ivy stands on the east side of the garden, and stone pathways lead throughout various, exotic shrubbery and plant life. In the center is the most delicate and mystifying tree. It has a black trunk, and violet and aqua leaves. Wolves and hares randomly run around this garden outside of the castle. Harpers play the tune 'Mystical Morning' for the Princess and Elder Jeanne, whom roam around in the gardens. And now, we tune in to their conversation.
"My my Princess Ember." the Elder began. "I know something your parents do not."
Princess Ember pricked her fox ears, and looked up to the Elder Jeanne with a questioning look. 'What could you mean?' Ember wanted to inquire. 'What do you know that my parents don't?'
Elder Jeanne seemed to pick up on Ember's silent entreaties for an answer.
"Well Princess, even though you are a fox in form, you still have a spirit." the Elder replied. "and if you don't know where your spirit is going, I can help with that and give you assurance. The thing I am about to tell you is not a lie, and I believe it for only one reason."
Princess Ember nodded her head as if urging her to go on.
"I believe what I believe because I know there is a God, that we have a purpose because of Him, and that there is only one way to Heaven." the Elder continued. "and the way of getting to Heaven is quite simple."
Princess Ember and the Elder Jeanne came upon a fountain, and the Elder Jeanne began to give her the one and only way to Heaven.
"First, you must believe that you have sinned, that you need to be saved from a real place called Hell, and trust completely in God for you to be with Him in Heaven." Jeanne said.
Ember nodded, and silently agreed to believe what the Elder was telling her.
"It is a simple prayer that thou can make now, and to trust on God. Then you may have an assurance that you will go to Heaven. I only tell you this because I care and love you enough to tell you the truth. Only God can save you though, not me." Jeanne told her.
Ember silently prayed as she sat beside the water fountain and tilted her head up toward the sky. When she rose though, a change had taken place. A life changing alteration. Ember was completely filled with a confident assurance, love, joy, and a settling peace she had never felt before. Another change had also taken place, and she sprinted in fox form to her bedroom in the castle. The Elder Jeanne watched as she darted away.
As Princess Ember ran to her bedroom, her heart slammed against her chest. She skidded past a curve in the hall way leaving behind scratches on the marble floor. She panted as things blurred past her. When she made it to her bedroom door, she body slammed the door open, and fell to the floor panting hard. Suddenly, another change began to take place. Her paws turned to feet and hands once again, and her furry body turned back to a humans. Her hair became the long, beautiful auburn hair it once was again, and she felt as if she were physically, mentally, and most importantly spiritually reformed. The dress she wore materialized back onto her body as she underwent the transformation back into a human. Gratitude filled her mind at that moment. She just wanted to thank the Elder Jeanne.
Author Note
I hope you might consider accepting God's free gift of salvation because it was life changing for me as well.
