A rainbow can mean so many different things. The way the colors shine just barely through the sky. Sometimes, it’s hard to believe that it’s only science that makes those colors. It’s only caused by reflection, refraction, and dispersion of light and water. A rainbow is a phenomenon that leaves smiles on everyone’s face. Not one soul can hate a rainbow.

Just remember that after every storm comes a rainbow. That’s the only thing that gets me through the day. One day I will get my rainbow and that day I will cry my last tears from my past. That day will have to be written down somewhere. The day Zayn held saw all the underwear and bras he asks me what I’m wearing. That only leaves me frozen. The weekend finished quickly. I was finally left alone Sunday so I could do my homework.

The day after Aurora took me to the mall she’s been taking me to school and Aaron rides with Zayn. In the back of my mind I keep thinking about the violin. The day I can pick that violin up I will accomplish the greatest thing in my life. It’s hard to not pick it up to know that I made it only three quarters. Violet Valentine can’t even open her violin case without having a panic attack. I know deep down I am not okay with myself and what happened to me, let alone my brother.

For my photography class I am obliged to go to the soccer game and the football game. I must take pictures of the players playing and posing. This is for the school new paper. Northfort calls it the Journal. This task is for me personally asked by the teacher. Of course, me having a difficulty on saying no agreed to attend. On top of that, I must take a picture of something no one can hate.

Ordinally, I was going to do a rainbow but someone already did. Now I’m clueless on what to do. I sit in my seventh period thinking about that I should do. My teacher already gave me a free pass for both games. The soccer game is on Thursday while the football game is on Friday. I don’t attend any sports events because I don’t understand them and I need to understand. I feel my elbow being removed from the table and I face plant on the top.

“Ow.” I complain lifting my head.

“Sorry, Little Flower.” Zayn smiles.
I roll my eyes.

“What do I owe the pleasure?” I ask resuming my thinking.

“What are you thinking about?” Aurora asks.

I look up at her. “Mrs. Binegar asked me to take pictures for the soccer and football games. Me, being the nice person, I am I said yes so, there’s that. The homework for the whole is we need to take a picture of something no one can hate. I don’t what to capture that isn’t hateful. I was going to do a rainbow but someone already did.” I say slamming my head on the gray table. “Ow.” I murmur.

I hear Matthew laugh. I look up to him. “Alright, alright you can capture me.” He says placing his hands on his hips and puffing his chest. Matthew Johnson is pulling a superman pose. Aurora and I share a look before we start laughing. The teacher hushes us. “I hate you.” Aurora and I say in sync. Zayn laughs quietly before patting Matthew on the shoulder. “I hate to admit it but, they’re right Matt.” He says laughing. Matt puts on a fake hurtful expression.

Together we all laugh. “So, you’re going to the soccer game?” Zayn asks.

I nod. “Yes, I am. I get to take photographs of a bunch of sweaty athletes.” I complain with a smile. Zayn chuckles lightly.

“Do you have a Northfort tee shirt?” Matthew asks. I shake my head no.

“Hey, Aurora, do you want to come with me? I have an extra pass.” I ask handing her the extra pass.

Aurora’s dull eyes brighten to a light gray blue. “Yes!” She exclaims.

“Well, you need a Northfort tee shirt if you’re going to be taking photographs.” Zayn says.
