Zayn’s Point of View

called her moms, they said they were on their way. Lynnette and Bianca are asleep on lap their eyes tired of crying for their step sister and mom. How could this be happening, I don’t understand. I’m waiting impatiently in the hospital on how Violet’s doing. I hope she remembers that I love her, I was going to say it back to her at the snow cone place but she was so embarrassed by saying it. She’s so adorable.
I see a doctor walk up to me and I gently move the girls to talk with the doctor. “How is she?” I ask eagerly. The doctor is silent and I already know the answer. “We tried everything we could.” He says. I feel my heart break in half, I gasp and I hold onto the doctor. I steady myself and I wake up the girls. “Thank you, I’ll let her parents know.” I reply carrying the girls out to my car. I buckle the girls up and I look at the passenger seat. She was so adorable.
I dial Diana’s number and she immediately answers. “How is she?” She asks. I hesitate, she’s dead Violet I dead, my Little Flower is dead. “She’s dead.” I mumble hanging up, I won’t be able to handle hearing her scream. I feel like screaming on my own, I look in the back-seat Lynnette and Bianca are asleep.  Violet wanted me to take her to New York and raise her, I don’t know why she wanted me to. Her mom should be the one to take care of her.
I put the car into drive and I make my way to Diana’s house. I unlock the door and I put the girls in Violet’s bed. I’m sure Lynnette will stay in here. I walk downstairs and out to Matthew’s house, I was going to tell Violet that my sister wanted me to move in with her. I grabbed the black box that she tried so desperately to get, I’m glad she didn’t. I go back over to their place. I sit on the couch as I take out the pictures she took, the laser tag we played, mini golf ticket, etc. Everything that we’ve done is in this box. I love her, I loved her.

hree months. Violet has been gone for three months, Lynnette misses her terrible. Sometimes she’ll call her out, I see her in my dreams. Diana and Katlyn grief quietly and Aaron never comes out of his room. I’ve tried getting him to come out but he’d rather sleep. She was the light of the world in this small town. No one knew her and everyone griefs. I graduated and I’ve decided to honor Violet’s wishes and take Lynnette to New York and raise her there. Diana signed over her rights to Lyn.
We are packing up and moving our stuff. Lynnette was this talkative sunshine but since the accident Lyn doesn’t talk much. I’ll be starting school in August and Lynnette will be going to first grade. I know Violet is at rest, she protected her daughter from danger. She’s in a better place. I’ll meet her again someday, I’ll find someone else but when it’s my turn to die I’ll go back to my Little Flower.

Until then…
