family is the foundation of most things. Without family, who will teach us the things that we know?
But some family s don't always stay together. My family has fought, many times. Even today, just an hour ago, about my step mom, and my dad. I had to just sit there, and wait till it ended. My dad had betrayed me, my sister, and my brother, leaving my other sister on there side. my step mom was awful to my sister, and my brother tried to reason with my dad, but my dad wouldn't listen. I was told these things, and now I go to therapy, mostly because of that.
My step mom technically bullied me. I spilled soda on me, were it looked like I had peed myself. She "pretended" to take a picture of it, so I pretended to be mad. I was pretty embarrassed, but what made it worse, she told me, that it was MY fault that she had a fight with my dad. I went to the bathroom, and cried. My dad knew, but not why. Or I don't know if he does or not, but that was years ago.
My step mom, and dad favors my sister. We both got amazing dresses, but she got more attention. my dad gave me some, but not to much. I do have to admit, it was an amazing dress, but I felt shot down.
My step mom teases me beyond the point she should. my dad has to, but she makes it seem real, so I barely talk anymore. I do joke with her, but I feel almost awkward around her. I used to think, if my dads happy, I'm happy. now I'm not happy at all.
Recently, my step moms, mom, died. My mom was only 28, and that's really young. sure there are younger, but it still feels awful. I went to the funeral. I felt almost like I shouldn't have been there, but I was happy to have some, for her. She had thanked me.
Like I said, some times, family s fall apart. My family grew some strong, in some parts, but weak in others. I have become closer to my mom, and my sister, on my side. And I asked my dad if we can see each other again, because I had missed him. No response yet, but I hope he says yes.
Life is hard, but we become stronger when we get through it. Stay strong.
