"It has been a month, Iris. You have to get out and move on, we both do. We can't just sit here and wait for her to wake up and be the old Magnolia again, she's changed. Having a wand broken when the witch is still alive is not to mention bodily scarring, but also mentally and emotionally scarring. We have to live our lives, that what she would have wanted." Agnes says touching my shoulder gently, but my eyes fill with tears and I shrug her hand off before getting up and running away to the only quiet place in the mountain.

The relic room has been avidly avoided while witches try to figure out what happened and cure the affected. I know that's the only place no one will try to bother me, I mean after all who wants to pray here anymore, after the room made people turn either insane or catatonic. I look at the dried up fountain with disappointment, even after a month the magic hasn't started flowing, the flowers haven't grown back on the wand, and we still don't know what the hell happened here.

I climb the dried up fountain and look at Magineara's wand with great dismay, it looks old and ugly now that the flowers aren't leaking out pure magic anymore. "God damn it, WHY WON'T YOU WORK!" I scream out with frustration and slam my fist down onto the top tier of the fountain, spider webbing cracks form and suddenly the entire room shakes and the fountain begins to crumble, I use all my strength and leap from the falling fountain and just reach the edge, where it was stable and not crumbling.

I pull myself out and look at the large dark crater left where the fountain used to be, I listen to the roaring of something unknown to my ears, then it erupts like a geyser, sparkling golden magic. It shines brilliantly and hovering at the top of the geyser was Magineara's wand, its flowers regrown and in full bloom, though now a shining silver. The sparkling golden magic flows and fills the crater like a pool, filling it until it's almost over flowing, then it stops and somehow continues flowing seamlessly though without overflowing. I smile brilliantly at my happy mistake, I race back to the medical ward and am sad to see all the patients looking the same.

"Iris, do you know what happened? There was a great roaring and the very ground rumbled under my feet, we don't get earthquakes in the Cursed lands so something must have caused it." Agnes says with distress.

"Iris, probably knocked over a powerful earth stone with her luck!" Magnolia says weakly and Agnes gasps happily and lunges at her, engulfing her in a very large hug and smothering her face with kisses. "What on earth are you doing, Agnes?! You know I don't like public displays of affection!" Magnolia gasps out in surprise and irritation.

"Oh I'm so glad you're back, Maggy" Agnes says tears dripping down her face, before planting a big kiss right on Magnolia's face.

"What on earth happened to make you act this way?" Magnolia says, her face beet red and her hair now attempting to hide her face.

"Don't you remember darling? You went into the relic chamber to see what happened to Elder Charles and then we found you in there catatonic and ........" Agnes trails off sadly, unable to tell Magnolia the reality of her new situation, Magnolia's eyes widen and her hand grasps around wildly.

"Where is my wand? Agnes where did you put it?" Magnolia says looking around frantically, Agnes just buries her face in the crook of Magnolia's neck as she begins to sob.

"Your wand and nine others were destroyed, your markings are now scars, and your magic is gone" I say quietly but Magnolia looks at me with rapt attention "You're now equivalent to a human." I finish and Magnolia hugs Agnes and breaks down into sobs of disbelief. I touch her gently on the shoulder, though rip my hand back as a almost static shock rips through my hand. I watch in awe as her markings turn purple and begin to writhe in distress, like a normal witch. "Oh, Magnolia!" I say in surprise and she looks up at me with a tear stained face.

"What? What else do you have to say to make my life worse" She snaps and though I flinch back, I understand why she was upset, I stay quiet and simply point and she gasps happily at her markings "Oh Agnes, darling look! My markings they're back!" She exclaims happily, and Agnes quickly looks up and then hugs Magnolia to her tightly, her tears now that of happiness.

"Magnolia, your lifeline is back to that of a child of Magineara, though it is very weak and since your wand is broken. You'll probably never have any actual magical ability only the lifespan of a child of Magineara" Agnes mutters to her sadly, but Magnolia shakes her head and still smiles happily.

"That's all right, because that means we can still spend the rest of our lives together." Magnolia says and then kisses Agnes on the lips, I wait as it becomes clear they want some well deserved privacy, Agnes snaps her fingers while still kissing and then they're gone, no doubt to their bed chambers.

"Last call for those who want to go to the Royal fights!" A older witch named, Amelia yells out and I sigh before smiling to myself.

"I guess it's time to move on with my life" I mutter to myself before looking up and calling out loudly "I'll go just let me go pack a bag!"

"You got fifteen minutes, Iris! We're already going to be pretty late as it is!" Amelia tells me and I laugh, before squeezing my eyes shut tightly and then opening them, happy when I see I was now in my room, ready to begin packing to go see the Royal fights. To see who would become our new ruler.
