Eric's pov.
I look at Sune with awe, Yanth equally shocked by my side. "What do you need of me?" Sune asks and I know she somehow knew I was telling the truth.
"We need the Neit's, Freya discovered that if they were small here they would be large, normal dragons in the Cursed lands. I need them to be an army so we can save her, from that horrible man." I say firmly and she looks at me with a raised eyebrow.
"Very well, have at it" She says and goes to walk away, I stop her.
"Wait are you not going to help us?" I ask with worry.
"Oh you misunderstand me, the Neit's listen to no one, their egos are the size of 'normal' dragons. They only listen to me because I have earned their respect, you must earn their respect if you even hope to convince them tot help with your cause. There is nothing I can help you with, if I try they will see it as a sign of weakness and you will not get within five feet of their nest. Happy hunting!" She says and then disappears into the forest.
"Well that was no help at all" Lord Yanth grumbles and I grin to him.
"Yes, it was she just covertly told us what we need to do" I say firmly and then look around slightly lost "Now we just need to locate the Neit nest, no wonder she said 'Happy hunting!'." I grumble out as I realize somehow we will have to find the nest on our own.
"Let's head up the mountain, dragons like mountains don't they?" Lord Yanth asks hesitantly and I nod, we prepare to trek up the mountain.
The sky becomes dark as we prepare to trek up the mountain, and Lord Yanth gasps in awe as the Shait glow in the dark, their beautiful feather glowing brilliantly like white under a black UV light. We begin the long trek up the mountain and I am freezing the entire way up, but Yanth is in his element, we reach the top a few hours later and there is an oasis, though not the one that was there before.
It had emerald green grass and glowing water, the trees were a beautiful silver, beautiful spirits dancing around in their small piece of heaven. Yanth steps inside looking at it in awe and I close my eyes, releasing a tired sigh as he realizes he can no longer get out. I step inside reluctantly, but decide not to leave my friend to face this enemy alone.
The second I enter eight pairs of neon green eyes look at us curiously, one of the bears enters Yanth's body "What is your business here?" He asks and I grin as I recognize the voice.
"Whispering Light, we are friends of Freya and kindly ask your assistance." I ask kindly and the bear looks at me curiously through Yanth's body, his green eyes looking out of place on the child of Frosara.
"What do you seek, friend of Freya?" He asks and I let out a relieved sigh, as I realize he was willing to listen.
"We wish to find the Neit's nest" I say and he nods and looks at me sharply.
"Which one?" He asks and I look at him wide eyed.
"There is more then one?!" I say panicked and he nods, using Yanth's body to do his bidding.
"Three, one for the blue water Neits, one for the pink skin Neits, and one for the Black scale Neits. Each it's own clan or faction, each with its own species. I will give you the location to one of them and if you survive and wish to go to the next come back here and I will give it to you." He says and then touches his bear body transferring back into his rightful form.
"That was the weirdest thing that has ever happened to me before!" Yanth says with complete shock and then passes out in front of me.
"I guess we're staying a while. Now where is the first Neit nest?" I ask and he touches me lightly on the hand with his nose, I feel a burning pain and rip my hand away, a large tribal crescent moon is now burned onto my palm.
"It will lead the way" He whispers to me in my mind and I nod in response, before sitting down and sighing with exhaustion, the lengths you go to for the people you love.
I watch the moon set and look in awe as the Shiva bears harden into statues, their glowing green eyes, shining emeralds on their stone faces. I wait for Yanth to wake up, I drink the normal water that was now in the place of the glowing water in the sunlight, in the sunshine everything here looks normal. I watch the sun rise high in the sky and begin to set again, and yet Yanth still hasn't awoken, I scowl and decide to get some well deserved rest.
When I awake it was dark again, the Shiva bears no longer statues, Yanth was still asleep, I scowl at him and kick him in the gut harshly "GET UP!" I snarl and he sputters, sitting up.
He yawns and stretches "That was the best night's sleep I've gotten for a long time, how long was I out for?" He asks me and I scowl at him.
"Let's just say the sun came up and went down before you even made a peep" I growl out and then sigh, releasing the tension in my body, it wasn't good to get so worked up "Let's go, we've already wasted enough time, we have the location of the first Neit nest. We should go before you fall asleep again, wouldn't want you to have to sleep an entire day away again" I tease and he scowls at me.
"Very well, let's go" He says and runs straight into the invisible wall, "F*cking hell, why is that still there!" He shouts as he clutches his bleeding nose.
"It will lead the way" Echoes inside my head and I hold up my right hand, the moon brand at the front, it lights up silver and burns through the barrier, we exit and I watch as the barrier seals up behind us ready to catch another victim.
