Eric's pov.
"I see you managed to earn the Neits trust in record time" Sune says cheerfully as she walks up to our prone beings on the shore near the lake.
"Yeah, with no help from you! I almost got burned alive!" Lord Yanth grumbles with distress.
"Whatever its done with, now let's summon the Neits so we can go save the princess" I say and she smiles.
"Very well" She pulls a battle horn from out of no where and blows on it harshly, it creates no sound we can hear and yet all the Neits appear in minutes. "Everyone in the lake please" She asks kindly, but the Pink Skinned Neit queen stops them.
"Wait where is my prize?" She asks looking at me firmly.
"The Blue Water Neits have agreed to give you their territory" I say and she frowns and goes to open her mouth but I interrupt her "Territory is territory no matter where it is" I say firmly and she goes silent "Now go into the lake" I say and walk into the lake a little reluctantly, we walk to a large stone in the middle of the lake.
"Everybody ready and close?" Sune asks and looks around, nodding to herself "Good, Blue! We're ready for you" She shouts and Blue comes shooting down from the sky and lands on the stone, carvings in the rock light up bluish-silver and the lake lights up as veins of rock on the lake floor light up with energy "Hold your breath everyone!" She shouts and then we are literally sucked into an invisible hole, like a toilet flushing in the human world. We were in complete darkness surrounded by darkness, I felt like we were trapped in a box as I could feel us becoming more and more squished as the Neits grew ginormous in size, to the size of large dragons, what they were always meant to be. The box became smaller in space, until were were all completely squished and then the box broke and suddenly we were falling.
We fell through the sky and most of the Neits, now large dragons or humans can fly. Yanth and I on the other hand fall freely through the sky, we are suddenly jerked to a stop be someone grabbing hold of both our shirts "I got you!" The Blue Neit queen says cheerfully, wings sprouting from her back and I see that the other Neits have caught the rest of the wingless Water Neits.
We head towards the large gold castle that I know is Mordecai's, we land in front of it. A formidable army, "Release Freya or suffer our wrath!" I roar out and Mordecai looks at me with a snarl painting his face.
"FIRE!" He shouts and metal spears are suddenly being shout this way and that at us.
"TAKE THE CASTLE!" I yell out and the Neits roar, before charging on the castle. The Black Scaled Neits ripping the guards to shreds and bathing in the blood spray, the Pink Skinned Neits were shooting jets of lava at the castle, melting it in places, the Blue Water Neits were shooting jets of water and damaging the castle, making it shake at the pressure of the water. Sune was ripping her way through everything that stood in her way, looking every bit the angry avenging goddess she was.
Yanth was freezing everything that touched him, I was just ripping things to pieces with my anger, getting sprayed with blood until I was completely drenched. I hope desperately we were not too late to save Freya, I hoped we hadn't taken too long.
Mordecai had a strong defense, spells enforced the castle, but the Pink Neits burned through them and he had many soldiers but the Black Neits were ferocious and ripped everything apart in their path, the Blue Neits made sure they deflected any spears shout at us and pushed away anything else that would hurt our forces.
We entered the castle and I went searching in every single room for her, not even caring that Mordecai was still alive, I was just looking for her, looking to save her, to confess my love to her. I wanted to be her knight in bloody armor, though with every empty room I came across I became more and more distressed. Had he killed her? Had he moved her somewhere else? I searched and searched until my anger seared me with its intense burn.
I hoped that I would be the one to kill Mordecai for what he did to me and Freya, Sune would want to kill him for what happened with her sister as well, it was going to be a first come first serve kind of thing, meaning the first to find Mordecai would be able to kill him and I wasn't going to let that be Sune.
I was going to find Mordecai and torture him until he told me where she was, he would show me where she was. I searched the entire castle high and low, the bedrooms, the dungeons, I found a room that smelt distinctively like Freya, blood, and pain, but she was no longer there. I went down the stairs to the last place he could possibly be, the most stupid place to go to during an invasion, the throne room. "Did you find her?" Sune asks me as we all meet up at the throne room doors, Yanth entering seconds later panting and covered in ash.
"The Pink Neits are completely melting the north wing of the castle, no one is surviving over there, the Black Neits are storming around the castle, killing everything that even moves a muscle, and the Blue Neits have left us, they know the fight is over and we have won, they are leaving to find a knew home. Have either of you found her yet?" He asks the both of us and Sune turns to me.
"I was just asking him that" She says and they both look at me expectantly.
"I've searched the entire castle, I found a torture room smelling of her, blood, and pain, but she wasn't inside this is the last place I have to look" I say and together we entered the throne room and froze as one as the sight in front of us shattered my heart and burned the pieces into ash.
