(A/N: I don't own killing me softly by fugees.)

I got the rest of the girl's texts saying there were on their way. I can't wait. This is going to be nice and fun.

*Kitty's POV*

It has been while since I told the girls they could do a baby shower for Jake and me. I was just relaxing at home. It was the weekend. I didn't have a lot to do today. I already got my homework done. So, I was really bored. I didn't know what to do.

I then got a text from Ryder. I opened the text and read,

Hey heading to the mall to hang with Jake and Marley. Do you want to join? I can pick you up if you want.

Sure would love too. Give me five minutes to get ready.

Sure. Be there in five.

I then went to my room and got ready. When I got done getting ready I went to wait for Ryder. When I saw his car. I went out to his car. I already left a note for Quinn. I got into his car.

"Hey Kitty. You really nice today." Ryder said.

"Thanks." I told him smiling.

We then headed to the mall. I wanted to get a few things for my daughter. I don't care what people say about me waiting for the baby shower. I want to spoil my own daughter. You know what I am. Probably between me and Quinn this girl will be one spoil child.

"So, how you been feeling?" Ryder asked me.

"Better. Morning sickness is done I think." I told him.

"That's good." He said.

The radio was playing. Then one of my favorite songs came on. Ryder looked over to me. I couldn't help but burst into singing to it.

Strumming my pain with his fingers

Singing my life with his words

Killing me softly with his song

Killing me softly with his song

Telling my whole life with his words

Killing me softly with his song

I heard he sang a good song, I heard he had a style

And so I came to see him, to listen for a while

And there he was, this young boy, a stranger to my eyes

Strumming my pain with his fingers

Singing my life with his words

Killing me softly with his song

Killing me softly with his song

Telling my whole life with his words

Killing me softly with his song

I felt all flushed with fever, embarrassed by the crowd

I felt he'd found my letters and read each one out loud

I prayed that he would finish, but he just kept right on

Strumming my pain with his fingers

Singing my life with his words

Killing me softly with his song

Killing me softly with his song

Telling my whole life with his words

Killing me softly

Strumming my pain with his fingers

Singing my life with his words

Killing me softly with his song

Killing me softly with his song

Telling my whole life with his words

Killing me softly, with his words

Ryder just listened to me sing. When I got done I just smiled. That always was one of my favorite songs. Ryder then said,

"Amazing. You always but your heart into it."

"I know. Thanks." I said.
