*BRAD'S POV*
I sprinted through the empty hospital wards, accompanied by a worried Tristan, we were desperately searching for the C ward, where Blake was.
"Excuse me, Ma'am?" I shouted at a young nurse in the hallway.
"Yes?"
"I'm looking for my friend, in the C ward, his name is Blake Richardson." I panted, out of breath from running down several hallways. Tristan and I had been watching a movie when James called to inform us about Blake's incident, and we immediately drove to the hospital to meet them.
"B-Blake, oh yes, they've just brought him in. Take a right at the next door and you'll find the ward."
I wanted to thank the lady, but I couldn't find any energy in me to do so, instead, I grabbed Tristan's hand and we ran.
"He'll be okay, trust me." Tristan tried to calm me down but I wouldn't acknowledge his kindness at this moment. I was far too worried and my stomach was in knots just thinking about Blake being hurt. Don't get me wrong, we hadn't been close, but we'd played guitar together a couple of times and he was such a nice guy. I couldn't even imagine how Connor must be feeling right now.
"Brad! Tris!" I heard a familiar voice shout down the ward. As we turned the corner, we saw a big sign that said 'C Ward'. I sighed in relief as Tristan rubbed my back and once I looked up, we were greeted by James.
"Thank god. Connor is in pieces in there. Blake. He- he still hasn't woken up yet." James murmured, running his hands through his hair.
"James, what the fuck has happened?" Tristan stood in front of me, blocking me away from hearing the news, but I could hear every word James was saying.
"He mustn't have been paying attention because he drove straight through a red light, and of course there was another car which Blake then drove into." James exhaled, his face was red, and he looked very guilty.
"Why wouldn't he be paying attention?!" I asked, pushing past Tristan so I could speak to James up front.
"W-Well, you see, Connor rang him and-"
"Don't tell me he broke up with him over the phone." I yelled.
"Sort of. Yeah." James rubbed his eyes and sighed. "Do you wanna see him or not?"
"Well of course we do." Tristan said, walking over to the room where Blake and Connor were, and myself and James followed closely behind.
When we walked in, Blake was all bandaged up, asleep in the hospital bed. He had multiple cuts and bruises on his face and Connor sat beside him with puffy eyes, holding onto his hand.
"Connor, I'm sorry." I frowned and pulled him into a hug.
"It's all my fault. I broke up with him. He probably did this to himself." Connor tried to hold it together, but at the end of his sentence, he burst into tears.
"No, Con, don't say that. Blake was such a happy, bubbly guy. He wouldn't do that. It isn't your fault." I reassured him, holding him tight.
"You don't know that." Connor mumbled, sniffling as he pulled away from my grasp.
"I do. He wouldn't. Right guys?" I turned around to get a second and third opinion from James and Tristan, but they were stood outside of the hospital room talking.
I shook my head and turned back to the distraught brunette. "I promise, Con. He's going to be okay."
"Hey, sorry we're late." I heard a voice from behind me say. It was both George and Reece, the other members of the band that Blake was in.
"Oh god, Blake." George gasped, rushing over to his unconscious friend.
"What the hell has happened?" Reece cried.
*Tristan's POV*
"What do you mean Con broke up with him to be with you? Don't you realise that'll destroy Blake?" I crossed my arms and watched as James awkwardly stood before me, playing with his bracelet.
"I do. I guess it's my fault. I urged Con to break up with him so we could be together. It was selfish, I kn-"
"Wait a second. Didn't you literally tell me and Brad that we couldn't be together because it would ruin the band?" I spat.
"I did, but I lied. That story about Joe and another band breaking up was all false. I'm sorry." James hung his head down and he didn't dare make eye contact with me when I was angry. I couldn't believe the words leaving his mouth right now.
"Why the fuck would you make that up, James?!" I exhaled, looking away from my 'mate' before things escalated.
"I- I guess I was jealous. It was wrong, I'm sorry. I don't know what else to say to make you forgive me." I felt his eyes look up at me but I stared at the wall in front. I knew I'd do something I'd regret if I looked at him any longer. James knew how much I fancied Bradley, and it was hard enough keeping it a secret, this was the last thing I'd needed.
"Hm." I nodded and calmly walked back into the room where Blake was assigned.
"Come on, babe." I gritted my teeth before grabbing Bradley's hand and pulled him out of the room with me.
"What? Tris, what are you doing we need to stay and-" Brad looked back at the room, puzzled.
"No. We're going to go home and I'm going to fuck the absolute shit out of you before I lose my fucking mind. Got it?" I growled.
"Got it."
