Mal X Ben: Love

Chapter 15:

Mal's POV:
I woke up and it was dark. I felt someone else in the bed with me. I turned around and saw Ben asleep. He looks so peaceful when he sleeps.

I turned to the clock and the numbers read 4:37. I looked back down at Ben. I felt so guilty. He deserves to know that I'm pregnant. But I'll tell him after I go to the doctor with Evie. Or should he be there? Even though it was dark, I saw his green eyes slowly open. He must've felt me sit up.

"Mal." He said softly. "What time is it?"

"It's 4am." I said.

"Go back to sleep. It's too early." He said. If only he knew what was on my mind. You know what, I'm gonna tell him first thing in the morning.

"Ok." I said. I got comfortable and looked up at the roof. The ceiling fan was spinning and my eyes just followed it. Eventually, though, I felt my eyes get heavy. I fell asleep.

Ben's POV:
It's 9:23 and I'm getting work done in my office. Then I hear a knock.

"It's unlocked!" I yelled. Mal slowly opened the door. She closed it and slowly walked toward me.

"Hey Mal. What's up?" I said. She got closer. I stood up and we were only an inch away from each other.

"I--I'm--" she looked really worried.

"Deep breaths." I said. She nodded and did as I said. In. Out. In. Out. "Now tell me what's wrong."

"Ok Ben. I don't know how you'll take this but..." She took an even deeper breath. "I'm...pregnant."

My mouth slowly fell open. "You are?" I didn't know how to feel. But I was happy.

"Yeah I know I know. It's all my fault!" She said.

"No babe it's--"

"My fault!" She cut me off.

"Mal--"

"The kingdom will hate me! We just got married and we're only eighteen!" She said.

"No one will hate us." I reassured her.

"How do you know?!"

"Because they would love to have a little princess or prince." I said.

"I don't want anyone to know!"

"They have to know." I told her.

"They'll hate me! We're too young."

"No. Mal--" I started.

"I can't do this."

"What do you mean?" I asked. She ran out of the door. I ran behind her and looked around the halls. She was no where to be found.

Mal's POV:
Knowing it was one thing. But telling someone other than Evie was another. It felt wrong hearing myself say that. I would take another test, but someone would end up being seen buying it. So I ran down to Evie's dorm.

"Evie!" I said as I ran inside. I closed the door and saw her with a phone in her hand.

"Mal!" She ran to me. "Where have you been?! The entire kingdom is searching for you!"

"I was just walking here."

"And I thought we agreed that Ben would find out later. You know, after your appointment." She said.

"Well he knows now." I said.

"How'd he take it?"

"He took it well! Thats the problem!" I said. She had a confused look on her face.

"Yeah still not seeing the problem." She said.

"I didn't take it well!" I yelled. Suddenly there was a rattling on the doorknob. The door flew open and it was Carlos and Jay.

"Evie have you--" Jay started but then he looked at me.

"Mal! There you are!" He yelled. Him and Carlos quickly came up to me.

"I was walking here." I said.

"So about the baby--" Carlos said. But he was cut off by Jay.

"Baby?! I thought it was a rumor! You're actually pregnant?!" Jay yelled. He looked angry.

"Carlos!" I yelled.

"Evie!" Carlos yelled.

"Jay!" Evie yelled.

"Mal!" Jay yelled.

"Ok, Jay, look maybe I am. But I can handle myself!" I protested. He crossed his arms. He was about to say something when the door flew open, once again.

"Have you--" He looked at me. "Mal!" He yelled with excitement. He walked over to me but Jay pushed him back.

"What's up with you, Jay?" Ben asked.

"You know exactly what's up!" Jay yelled as he pointed his finger in Ben's chest and Ben started to back up. "You guys are far too young for this!" Yelled Jay. He punched Ben in the face, making him fall to the floor.

"No! Jay!" I yelled. He turned to face me and wiped the blood off his knuckles. Carlos and Evie backed away.
