The light of morning washed over my face as rolled over. I moaned and my arm laid across my aching head. Sighing I slowly sat up and stretched yawning.

What happened last night I thought to myself as my head continued to pound. My questions was almost immediately answered as I stepped on a cold object on the floor. I sighed as realized it was a decent sized bottle of whiskey.

An empty bottle of whiskey that is. I grumbled as I headed straight for the shower.

After I got out and took some aspirin the pain in my head was starting to let up. Then a question came to mind.

How am I going to find her. I don't know where this guy is what his name is or what he is capable of. My little idea last night was truly what I wanted but it was going to be nearly impossible to accomplish .

Another thought came to me though. I could go back to the police station and ask Officer Moore about this man. I wouldn't be able to hint that I was trying to go after him myself. I smiled at the idea and bounded toward the front door not bothering to flip off the lights. I pulled my shoes and grabbed the keys out of the clay bowl. I hesitated for a moment gazing at the bowl. A lump lodged in my throat as I realized that it was the bowl Amber had made me in elementary school for Christmas. I swallowed quickly even though I felt like someone had peeled back the tape holding my heart together.

I speed once again to the police station only slowing down just as I got in view. The lady at the desk smiled at me simplistically.

"Is Officer Moore here?" I asked her.

"Um no he left a while ago so he should be back shortly. If you want you can take a seat in the waiting room until he gets here." She said but there was no way I was sitting in that silent and dull room again I need information and I needed it now.

"Okay" I smiled and took off around the corner and peeked my head out. When I was sure she was occupied back to clicking away on her computer I took off the other way. I wasn't sure exactly where I was going but it was better than sitting and doing nothing.

After a minute of wandering I heard a heavy sound of foot steps. it sound like big boots and it was close. I quickly rushed to the nearest door. Thankfully it wasn't locked and I slipped inside just as the footfalls rounded the corner.

As I turned around I realized I was in someone's office. I glanced around for a name or sign until I found a plague hung on the wall. That's when I realized I had stepped through the wrong door. I was in Officer Samuel Jackson's office. I didn't think he had an office but he must just be in a higher rank than I thought. I thought about leaving but the noisy part got the best of me and I sat in his chair behind the desk peeking into a few drawers. They were full of office things. One was full of files and another had what looked like an extra uniform stored in it.

A picture was perched on the edge of his desk. Sam looked a lot different out of uniform. He was in a striped polo and khakis but what really got me was the beautiful women standing next to him. His arm was draped around her. Confusion creased in between my eyebrows as I felt a bubble of jealousy. I didn't even like him. He was attractive and funny but annoying. So why was I so jealous. A distant voice echoing down the hall stumped my train of thought. I halfway slammed the picture down were it was and sighed.

The voice got closer until it was right outside the door.

"Shit!" I murmured to myself as I ripped out of the chair and slipped into one of the two chairs on the other side of the chair nearly knocking it over. I was in right in time the door opened not even giving me enough time to calm my breath. Sam stepped in looking down. He glanced up and slightly jumped back.
