I couldn't stop thinking about the mysterious women who had left my room crying only 20 minutes ago. As I began sitting up I saw a movement out of the corner of my eye. It was two figures outside of my room that I could barely see between the cracks of the blinds. From what I could see it was a doctor and the women talking. I wondered what they were talking about as I laid back down as a wave of dizziness washed over me.

Liz's (Claudia's Mom) POV:

"So you said she forgot who you are?" The doctor asked glancing back to his clipboard every now and then.

I nodded rubbing my eyes again. I had been crying basically non stop since my poor baby girl asked who I was. I was so shocked it felt like I had just been shot in the heart. I left the room and ran to find the doctor not stopping until I practically ran into him.

"That's very unusual." He said making my stomach flip.

"I will take a few tests and after that all we can do is wait."

"What do you mean all we can do is wait there has to something I can do to help maybe I can bring her pictures to spark her memory?"

"Actually your not suppose to do that."

"Why not." I asked.

"She could go into shock very easily at this state of vulnerability. We have had many cases of that happening because of family and friends or as they see it strangers trying to drill memories into her head. When they don't remember anything as you can imagine gets aggravating and they will begin to feel like they are a disappoint which is not a short road to depression. I have had many cases of this and its hard to get things back to normal after they have gone that far Ms. Weathers." All I could do was nod because I didn't see much of a logical response to the truth. I just wanted to go home.

As I slowly turned to start walking the other way my wrist was being gripped in a ice cold hand.

"Ms. Weathers? One more thing before you leave."

I waited patiently for a reply while his cold hand raised goosebumps along my arms.

"Maybe you should keep a distance for a while. She obviously does not know who you are and it might scare her that a stranger is hanging around there room everyday. Not for long of course just until we can run some tests and when the results come back we will contact you right away. We had to hold of surgery and as it is we are pushing a surgery that should of been done that day back to its limits so we need to be careful. Anything could trigger a bad situation.

I stood speechless. I didn't realize he had dropped my arm until he took a fair step back and held his hands behind his back.

"Goodnight Ms. Weathers." He nodded and swiftly walked the other way his white coat trailing out behind him like a cape.

I made my way to my car as my head spun. I wouldn't be able to see my little girl for days. I sighed and shoved the keys in the ignition. I would do whatever it took to get her well again like the doctor said anything could trigger a bad situation I reminded myself as I pulled away.

Like walking on eggshells.

Sorry I left this so short I promise the next chapter on Claudia will be long!!
