The painted boy stumbled over his own feet as he tried to out walk the blonde shadow he had acquired. The blonde followed at a distance to try and be unnoticeable and to a normal boy it would have worked. The brunette had been trained by years of abuse to notice little things out of the ordinary. The fast footsteps behind him, the strained cough, and the feeling of pierced eyes on him tipped him off.
Colby wanted to say something, he really did but his voice was silent. Sam Golbach continued to trail him, Colby making the split decision to turn a sharp right and head to a near by park. He didn't care he was going to be beaten even worse for being home late, the boy would rather be black and blue than have the blonde artist see the shambles he lived in.
