Flood

Colby's heart pounded as he walked down the empty school halls, his artist in class.

His artist.  The simple thought sent his heart into a frenzy. His cheeks flushed and it felt as if his body was filling with something. Was it simple as gratitude for a friend? Is this what friendship felt like, his bruises long forgotten. The torment awaiting him at home long forgotten.

The way Sam looked at him like a masterpiece. The way the blonde filled the dead air between the two, as Colby's chapped lips remained stitched together.

Colby felt his body flooded with emotion, was this thing gratitude or was it more? Could it be love? Colby didn't care nor did he really care.  He just hoped the feeling could last, praying he could drown in the flood.

A/N: If you are still reading this I commend you. I don't know if I will ever finish this but thank you for supporting me. It really means more than you know. ~Nightmare
