Sam was defeated. His stomach coiled together every time he watched Colby walk away. He knew what he was going home to.
Sam cried every time he watched the brunette boy leave. His pain trailing behind him.
Canvases left untouched, the blond felt sicker than most days as he watched Colby leave. The sun dipped below the horizon, their time together expanded today. Neither boy wanting to leave.
Turning away he walked three spaces before turning back around to follow the bruised boy. Instantly the coiled snake inside uncoiled, satisfied with following the boy, intent on keeping him safe.
At least Sam tried.
