A streak of blonde hair whizzed past as he entered the school the very next day. Instantly he felt an arm fling itself around his shoulder, a warmth traveling down his spine at the sudden contact, Colby tilted his head to face the grinning blonde.

"Alright Brock, her me out. You didn't want to talk yesterday, fine. I can wait. Just know I'm going to help you and to do that I have to be your best friend." Sam proclaimed proudly as the silent brunette bit his lip, silence his only response,

"You don't talk much, that's fine. I can talk enough for the both of us." Sam giggled, as Colby relished in the high pitched sound, he never would admit it out loud, but Sam's giggle was the most beautiful thing Colby has ever heard. Warmth rushed to Colby's cheeks as Sam's smile grew even wider.

The warmth was a foreign feeling for Colby, but the canvas treasured it, a light blush on his cheeks. The new color was welcome, and in fact actually made him feel like a masterpiece, beautiful. Maybe being friends with Sam Golbach wouldn't be all that bad.
