[Chapt. 7] Taking Things Slow

Roman's POV

After discussing the situation, I took it upon myself to take my mothers idea. But, with just going straight with marrying, Asher I would rather take it slow and get to know him, and his family.

I dismissed everyone from the meeting room since we've discussed about the situation. The only person that was left was my mother, Felix and his mate.

"So, I have come to terms that I will take things slow with, Asher and his family. I want to get to know him better since I met him like a week ago."

"Mhm... that would be best." Victoria said.

"Well whatever you decide to do, Roman just keep him safe. Now I'm taking Kai home, so he can finish his work."

"Wait- why don't you just stay here?"

"Because I miss my baby." Kai spoke.

"And that is who, exactly?"

"My puppy dog, Felix Jr."

I raised my eyebrow, and looked at my friend and beta. He got it and only shrugged his shoulders with a sigh afterwards.

"He likes the dog more than me, even though he named it after me. Kinda messed up if it ask me though."

"Oh, hush. You're the one who got me the dog in the first place." Kai says, hitting Felix's arm playfully.

"No, no the only reason I got you that dog in the first place was because you threatened and I quote; "Unless you buy me that puppy, I will never have sex with you again." And with that said, I immediately bought his puppy that day." He says, crossing his arms.

"...okay I may have overreacted, but I really wanted him. Plus don't act you don't love him too, I see you playing with him in you're wolf form."

"Okay, okay fine. I do love him, and also my wolf loves playing with him because it feels like it's his pup."

"Awww, how adorable! Well what are we waiting for? Let's go so we can see him. Bye, Roman and Mrs. Victoria see ya' later."

It was funny seeing, Kai dragging Felix out the meeting room since he's small compared to him. But, even though he's small he has a good grip if I do say.

After they left, me and mother went into the kitchen. I told her that I was gonna be gone for a while, and she got what I was talking about since she winked at me.

"Alright, I will be heading out now." I told her.

"Okay, sweetie. Be safe." She told me, before I headed out the door.

Asher's POV

I was sitting at home, with Uncle Quinn since Uncle Trevor is working. I didn't really know what todo, since that happened. Word has got out that there was a murder at the shop and they ended up closing the shop since, It was my late bosses store.

They had a funeral a few days later, and of course I tended to it. I've been knowing, Linda for a good year now and she was a vey sweet and loving person. Her family wanted to know what had happened that night, so they asked me which put me in a uncomfortable position because even I don't know what happened.

All I know is that it wasn't human.

Suddenly I heard a knock at the door front door which surprised me. I got up outta my seat on the couch after debating with, Uncle Quinn oh who's gonna open the door.

I went to the door, and looked through the piping hole and to my surprised to see M-Mr. Roman!

Heisting I opened the door to be greeted with that smile of his. He had on a suit as always where it was fitting him just tight in all places.

'Okay now is not the time to be eye rape him right now, Asher' I told myself.

After I told myself, I noticed he was just looking at me. Right, I haven't asked him to come in yet.

"S-sorry... I got lost in thought." I said, looking the other way.

"It's okay. Can I come in?" Roman asked, Asher who had his face turned the other way.

"O-oh yes! You can come in."

I stepped to the side so he could come in. After he did I closed the door behind him as he went into the kitchen. Seconds later, I heard squealing coming from the kitchen. What I saw surprised me. Right in from my of my face I saw, Uncle Quinn hugging Mr. Roman like a friend would.

"What's going on here?" I asked them.

They both looked at me, and got back to being professional. "Well, Ashy when Mr. Roman brought you that night me and you're uncle had a talk with Mr. Roman and we gotten to know each other." Quinn says.

"Yeah, you're family is really sweet people."

"Oh, well what did you guys talk about then?" I'm curious to know actually.

"Just usual conversation really." Quinn said, shrugging his shoulders.

"Which was-?"

"What's you're job, what do you do. Basically imagine us as girl teenagers getting to know each other." Roman said, that time.

"I-I rather not imagine that."

"Hahah- Ashy he didn't mean literally."

"Oh, I k-knew that."

"Mmhm sure you did. Anyways, Ashy you wanna help me with dinner?"

"Of course. Let me wash my hands."

"Okay, and Mr. Roman you wanna stay and help? More hands the better."

"I'd like to help and cook. That would be nice."

"Awesome well what are we waiting for then? Let's go!"
