Chapter 7

You didn't knew how much time has passed but the sun was now shining directly into you. It woke you up enough for you to realize you were cuddling something soft, so you squeezed it more. You also heard something that sounded like muffled laughing but quickly fell asleep again.

Suddenly a wet liquid was splashed onto you, a loud scream escaped your lips as you jerked up into sitting position. A mixture of different laughs made you open your eyes to find the gang standing in front of you. Snotlout grasping his stomach from laughing too much, Astrid and Fishlegs were chuckling wiping tears of joy from their cheeks and the twins were head-butting each other.

"Why in Thor's name did you do that?!" Hiccup next to you exclaimed and you turned around to find him wiping water from his face. His hair was soaking wet and was dripping from the ends of his auburn locks.

"You should've seen your faces!" Snotlout jeered and that made everyone laugh even more. You locked eyes with Hiccup and chuckled at each other's soaking state, if you had to admit it was kind of funny.

"Wasn't there a nicer way to wake us up?" You grunted and rolled your eyes.

"I mean there was but-" Ruffnut began speaking and Tuffnut cut her off, "But this was more fun!" They both grinned and you already knew it had to be their plan to throw water at you and Hiccup.

"Also you two were so cute cuddling each other." Fishlegs squealed and placed his intertwined hands on his cheeks. He had his eyes closed and didn't look directly at anyone so you didn't knew who he meant.

"Cuddling?" You decided to question, but regretted it soon after.

"You hugged Hiccup like your life depended on it!" Astrid joked and you stayed still and speechless. Your heartbeat noticeably sped up and you heard its thrumming in your ears, internally you cursed yourself for being too curious. Maybe if you weren't, you wouldn't have even went to Hiccup, let alone fall asleep next to him.

"Whoops." You sheepishly laughed and bit your lips, not looking at anyone except the ground. You wanted to face-palm right there because you made a big fool with your actions and you furrowed your eyebrows when you thought that Hiccup might dislike you a bit because of that.

"Oh Thor! I forgot something important at home, sorry gotta go!" You spoke quickly and before anyone couldn't process what you have said you mounted Crystal and lifted off.

"But weren't we supposed to explore today?" You heard Fishlegs yell from beneath, but decided not to replay or even turn around. After some minutes of flying in the clouds a sigh escaped your lips. You were laying on your stomach and stroking Crystal's soft scales, at the same time over-thinking what had happened. A part of you wished you had stayed, but in a time like that all you wanted was to be alone and here you were.

Once you reached home, Crystal and you both flopped down in your bed's. While your dragon instantly fell asleep you were left laying in your bed with the thoughts occupying your tired mind. Your face held no emotion whatsoever yet the flashbacks from what happened made you grimace and shake your head, trying to somehow forget that it happened. You closed your eyes realized how tired you actually were, your consciousness began ebbing away leaving you in dreamless sleep.

The next few days you spend doing your regular routine, nobody contacted you after that day so you convinced yourself that Hiccup and his friends probably don't want you near them again. You decided not to dwell on that thought again and think of something else, but nothing popped in your head.
