hobbledehoy
(n.) an awkward teenager; one who is perpetually ungainly and uncertain.
The day after you awoke you and Crystal traveled around to see if people lived here and they didn't. What you didn't plan was to stay for a few days in the unknown island. There were just so many things you haven't seen before and you wanted to explore every single bit of the island. For starters you noticed this island was inhabited with different types of dragons which was fairly rare because every dragon kind had it's own island.
You found a plant which all dragons refused to come anywhere near it except the Changewing dragons who ate it. You quickly wrote the new discovery in your handy notebook that you took everywhere. It held many details of all the things you had seen and explored through out the years. It also had many papers sticking out because it was full and you wondered how they haven't fallen out yet.
Being easily intrigued, you went to get a sample of the mysterious herb and as you cut the plant the Changewing's head snapped up and growled at you.
"H-H-Hey there!" you stuttered and moved backwards with your hands in a defence position. The dragon opened it's mouth and was ready to fire at you, but thankfully Crystal popped out of nowhere and shot fire in the ground near the dragon who quickly flew away. You smiled and ran to Crystal.
"Who's a good girl? You are! Yes you are!" You spoke with a baby voice and rubbed Crystal under her head which she very much enjoyed. You then hugged her and sat down near your dragon. After that you took out your notebook once again and drew the island in your personal map.
"Okay done! Let's go home, we'll explore this island tomorrow." you mounted Crystal and she flew away to the planned destination.

On your way home you caught some fish for later in case you two get hungry. When you arrived at your island you got off of Crystal in the entrance and walked in your home backwards while holding a fish in front of Crystal's head.
"You want this Crystal?" you swung the fish in your palm and Crystal watched it go left and right. She tried to take it, but you swiftly moved your arm and at the same time spun around. Your eyes widened when you realized someone else beside you was present in the room.
"Hiccup?" you exclaimed still in shock and made your way towards him. In all honesty, you didn't expect him to come back. You actually thought he already forgot about you but looks like he didn't.
"The one and only." he laughed and walked to you too. The two of you finally came in a close enough distance and you spoke again.
"Oh my gods, hey! What brings you here?" you said while being unsure how to greet him, but decided a simple handshake will do and held out your arm which he gladly shook.
"Toothless brings me here," Hiccup gestured at his dragon with his head. "He didn't stop begging me to come here so here we are." he finished and smiled. Turns out it wasn't his idea after all and that didn't really disappoint you that much.
"I'm glad you two came!" you said with a warm smile plastered on your face. "Come! Sit here." You invited Hiccup while you walked towards the table.
"So...What's new?" you asked him after he sat down.
"Honestly, not much. When I came back home my friends weren't there. Can you believe it? I decide to show up and they aren't there!" Hiccup spoke in disbelief and you giggled, half at what he said and half at the way his shoulders moved. Then you wondered if he had a family because usually people would go to them first, but decided not to ask.
