(n.) the subtle yet persistent feeling of being out of place
After that eventful meeting you didn't really go back to your home. The island that you found the day before was on your mind and after a long debate whether to go to the island or go home, you chose the island. You could just wake up and explore right away so that was a plus.
When you left the Edge it was night and the island was kind of closer so you went there. Crystal landed near the sea shore, where the sand wasn't wet and the water couldn't get to you. And because there was bound to be cold wind there you began to search for bricks near by. After finding the right amount you dropped them in a pile and Crystal lit them up without you asking.
"Thank you!" you expressed your gratitude and crouched down near the fire.
"Wow, I thought Hiccup's friends were fun but I was so wrong." you spoke after a while and moved your hands near the fire so you could warm up. Crystal just tilted her head in response.
"I go inside and they looked like they were gonna murder me in a split second. Actually no, there was one boy who was nice enough to smile at me. And one girl who said she was going to kill me if I turned out to be a spy? What even?" you continued ranting about the things that happened when you met the people.
Then proceeded to go near Crystal and scoot down next to her. Sighing, you laid your back on your dragon and told her the remaining details of the story. After rambling for half an hour you took a look at Crystal noticing she was fast asleep and that you may have been talking to yourself all this time.
For a period of time you stayed calmly where you were, just gazing at what was in front. You stared at the sea and how the moon reflected in it was rising and falling as the waves danced. A cold breeze came each time the waves splashed on the gritty sand , you would've gone for a swim, but you were far too comfortable where you were.
That quickly changed because you got bored of just staring so you got up and sat opposite of Crystal. You opened your notebook and started drawing your dragon, even though there wasn't much light except the one provided by the fire.
For some hours you were neglecting the drowsy feeling and your eyes closing from time to time, but you were nearly done with the current drawing and there was no give up that easily to the sleepiness.
After you put the finishing touches to the drawing you slammed shut your notebook. You let a quiet whisper of achievement with a tired voice and eyes barely open. After managing to make your way to Crystal you climbed on top of her, when she woke up and stared at you with annoyed expression on her face.
"Ah sorry, I wanted something soft to sleep on." you said whilst petting Crystal's head and in response she just grunted.

You and Crystal started your day with a quick walk, but when you looked up and saw it was almost sundown you realized that the two of you got carried away.
"We've been exploring for quite a while now, haven't we?" you said when you realized. When you turned your head back, Crystal only nodded. Both of you stopped dead in your tracks once you heard a rustling in the bushes.
You held your breath and waited for what would emerge, but your face softened when you saw it was a baby dragon, even if you were expecting something bigger.
"Awww Crystal look! It's a baby Speed Stinger! Look at how cute it is!" You took the small dragon in your hands knowing it wouldn't bite because most of the time baby dragons were harmless.
