lacuna
(n.) a blank space; a missing part
Everyone was flying in the planned direction and once the three familiar ships appeared, the blood in your veins started boiling. Just the thought of them having your dragon captured made you angry and wanting to free Crystal as soon as you step on the ship, you were prepared to fight whoever stood in your way if it was needed.
"It's him." You whispered when you locked your eyes on the bald man who trapped your dragon. Toothless fired a plasma blast on the ship and it made the man snap his head in your direction, his eyes widened ever so slightly and you noticed him mouthing 'A Night Fury'.
The man's attention was diverted to Astrid yelled saying she is here to get her dragon, she swung her axe and pointed it at the man who was just smirking at her. Your view of him was cut off when Barf and Belch and Meatlug shot fire at the ships, the attacks shook the crew members but they still went to their winches and fired at all of you.
As soon as things began to get heated and dodging arrows became harder with each passing moment, Fishlegs was sent as a decoy to 'get shot' and be captured. He had explained that Meatlug was immune to the dragon root so it wouldn't effect her, but since the Hunters don't know about that, it was the perfect plan.
Meatlug spew fire into the boats and purposely flew lower so that the archers can hit her and after doing so, Meatlug spun around as if she was experiencing the dragon root effects and loosing control. The Hunters bought the act and fired a metal rope that binded over Meatlug, trapping her entirely, after that Fishelgs and Meatlug were pulled to the hatchway that lead below deck.
While you and Hiccup were looking at the scene unfolding below, you didn't notice the boulder that was flying towards your direction and when it came into your peripheral vision you immediately screamed for Toothless to dive down. He was quick with the reaction and spun around, but because you weren't holding onto anything you slipped away.
Even though it should've felt like time was speeding up while falling down, for you everything felt like it drastically slowed down. You saw the flash of fear register on Hiccup's face when he failed to grab your hand, hearing your name called out laced with worry was the last thing you heard before falling down into the ocean.
The rope that grabbed you while you were falling was now pulling you up and without hesitation you grabbed your sword.
"Let me go!" You screamed while the guards yanked you in the ship, every bell rang in your head when you saw the bald man grinning mischievously at you. You gritted your teeth and with one single tug you freed yourself from the chains and charged at the man, he easily defended himself with his elbow and punched you away to the guards once again.
"No!" You hollered and tried to escape once more, but this time their grip was more tighter. Your face contorted with the venomous outburst and you felt like your eyes might pop out from staring too intensely at the man.
"You will regret this, baldy!" Once you said the last word, the man's face twisted into an agitated one and his grin fell down, you internally smirked in success because of your accomplishment at making the man angry.
"My name is Ryker and you should remember it because I have a feeling we we'll be seeing each other a lot." His lips started to pull up in a wicked grin and his eyes started to squint slightly while walked closer, you wanted to wipe that look off of his face but it was no use, you were powerless.
"Now drop her in a cell." Upon commanding, the guards started to pull you in the direction of the ship's hatchway and without having a chance to open it, the hatchway exploded. In that millisecond that the dust cleared off, Crystal appeared in your vision and it seemed like everything around you got ten times brighter.
