*BETHANYS POV*
We arrive at my house and he runs and knocks on the door.
"Hey Kenny!" Mom said excitedly. She loves him.
We ran inside and we went in my room and played some board games. We're losers. Then we made a YouTube video of us doing the cinnamon challenge. It was so fun. We ended up having a family game night and I was crying so hard I was laughing when Kenny tripped over a cord when we were playing charades. I love having a best friend.

The next morning I immediately text Kenny to make sure he's okay. I jump in the shower because I feel so nasty. I put on a pink shirt with green polka dots and it flares at the bottom with dark wash Hollister jeans with white vans. I straighten my hair and apply dark mascara and foundation and I head out to the bus.
We went to school and we didn't get a lot of smart mouths. We only got like 6 or 7 people being rude which is pretty good. We were walking down the halls and Matt was holding hands with a girl. He may be super popular but now, but he can really keep a girlfriend. I wonder who she is. I have never seen before...
Kenny walks me to my class and I hug him goodbye. "I'll see you at lunch" he says and disappears.
I swear, this is the worse class ever. I'm so glad the bell rung so I can go eat lunch with Kenny. He is sitting there by himself as usual and I join him.
"Hey" I say and sit down.
"Hey Beth" he says and takes a breath to tell me something.
"How did Matt get a freaking girlfriend?"
"Ken, your being over dramatic about this! This was kindergarten! Just move on! I'm going to go meet her" I say and walk away.
"Hey!" I say and they both smile.
"What are you doing?" Matt said
"Just meeting your girlfriend" I say and he smiles. He looks so excited I called her his girlfriend.
"Oh, hi" she says with a pleasant smile.
"So uh what's your name?" I ask and she looks up at me.
"Mary... Mary Miller" she says. All confident like.
"That's my best friends last name!" I shout and look at him and point.
"Oh yeah, I don't think he likes me." Matt looks down and Mary pulls his chin up and he smiles.
"I like you, Matthew Espinosa." They seem to really like each other already.
"Yeah, remember in kindergarten when you said his book was silly and he started getting made fun of?" I say and he grins.
"Oh yeah. Is that it? That's the only reason? Oh my gosh! I didn't really mean that!! Tell him I like him!" He says and looks back at Kenny.
"I'll tell him. It was nice meeting you Mary!" I say and she smiles and walk away.
I wonder what Kenny will say...
