*BETHANYS POV*
"What?!?! He likes me?" He shouts.
"Yes! It was just kindergarten! Stop being so crazy!" I snap and he smiles.
"Go talk to him!" I say and he slowly get put of his seat, putting down his jelly sandwich.
He always gets so scared about everything. I don't get it. I wish he was less shy or something. Here he's all out of it, but when he's at my house, he'll grab me and run with me across my house! What! I wish he wasn't fake at school.
*KENNYS POV*
I slowly put down my jelly sandwich and walked over to Matt. Right now I was only inches away from him. I turn to him and I take a deep breath.
"H-hey" I say and he flinches at my tone.
"Hey!" He says and we exchange smiles.
"So um whatcha doing?" He asks.
"So you do like me?" I hesitate, ignoring his question.
"Yes, I do. That was kindergarten, man. I'm not like that anymore. Bro you seem cool and that's rude of others to pick on you." He says and sparks fly through me. For once, other than Beth, someone isn't being rude to me!
"Thanks!" I say and he looks back at me again.
"So, you wanna be friend?" Oh my gosh. Matthew Espinosa, the most popular kid in school wants to be friends with a corny, ugly, nerdy guy. Wow.
"S-sure. Okay!" I say. We both exchange goodbyes and I walk to Beth.
"He wants to be my friend!!" I say with enthusiasm.
"Really?! That's great!" She says and and smiles with her teeth.
"Did you meet Mary?" She says and I shake my head.
"I just talked to Matt. I didn't see her there anyways. She was probably going to the bathroom" I say and the bell rings. Me and Beth are walking down the sidewalk and we hug as she's going to her next period. I run to my 1st period and I see Matt and Mary standing where the entrance is. What?
*BETHANYS POV*
Kenny seems really excited about this. I love when he's happy. I run to my 1st period and I slim in right at the bell. I take my seat and all I think about is kindergarten. Ugh.
...
I'm on my way home on the bus and all Kenny talks about is when Matt did this and Matt did that. That's like his new best friend. Dang.
"Hey Kenny!" Brittany and Stacy from kindergarten says to him. No.
"Hey girls" he says and I look at him.
"What are you doing?" I mutter and he looks at me.
"What? They said hi!" He says and opens up his book.
"Do you even remember what they did to you?" I say, clearly annoyed.
" but that was kindergarten" he says and my face drops to the ground.
He's acting different, really different...
