She'd been in the Glade for a good eight months, and everyday, it was the same old routine. Be startled awake from a confusing and vivid memory dream, get up. Drown the confusion in coffee, try to forget about it while working in the gardens. Get covered in dirt no matter how hard she tried, get irritated by the fact. Have the boys get all gross and flirty, gets a migraine from it all. Takes ibuprofen, doesn't help. Gets snappy, more grouchy and sarcastic than usual, takes a much needed break. Walks away.

She'd been in the gardens, doing more thinking than anything else, really. She was distracted in her own thoughts, and it took Newt three or four calls of her name to get her to look up after blinking several times. "Yeah?" She glanced up to meet Newt's eyes, planting the seed that she'd had in her hands for the last half an hour. "You alright?" He asked, and she nodded, almost too soon.

Newt didn't believe her for a second, but he didn't press her into talking about whatever it was that she was having a long thinking session about. She sank to her knees, yanking off her gardeners gloves, closing her eyes for a moment to gather her bearings. A young man with sandy blonde hair and hazel eyes came up to her, and nudged her with his foot. Her eyelids immediately popped open and she stood up a moment after.

"Get your shank ass back to work." He scowled, and she narrowed her eyes. "Just because you are one fine woman, does not mean that you don't have to pull your own weight around here." He muttered, and she clenched her fists at her sides, her jaw locking into place as she pulled the urge to punch this dick in the face. "What did you just say to me? I do more around here than even you do. Do not point toe blame on me just because I am not working for twenty minutes, you've done nothing all day!"

She said calmly, trying real hard to keep her emotions in check, hold her anger back. "Oh I haven't? You been watchin' me?" He questioned with crossed arms, and her right eye twitched in irritation. "You want to know what I've done today? I've made all of you breakfast, and lunch, since Fry's sick. I've planted a whole crop of carrots, and potatoes, lettuce and cabbage. I've treated three wounds because the Med Jack's were overwhelmed. What have you done today, Jacob?"

She raised an eyebrow, angry fire in her green eyes as she stared him down, before just deciding to not kick his ass, walking over to Newt, who'd seen the whole ordeal, and hand him her gloves. She asked him with her eyes if she could go, and he nodded, watching Jacob watch her leave in the direction of the wooded area.

She walked across the really green grass to the forest, her eyes set on the prize, and she didn't look back, even as she felt his gaze following her. She broke into a run, and she ran as fast and as hard as she could push herself, feeling the anger seep from her body with every step. She dug her toes into the ground after her sandals fell off, propelling her body further and faster with the momentum. She felt the wind pull her hair down, felt it pull the rubber band from her hair, lucky to have another on her wrist. She felt the breeze lift her hair and chill her cheeks, and she grinned a bit as she entered the forest.

She kept going for a minute or two, and then skidded to a stop, in front of her tree. It was the tallest of them all, flourishing, full of life and blossoming with brightly green leaves. Its dark bark had cracks and tears, but it still stood tall and proud, its true colors shining through. She walked up to it, and grasped a low hanging branch, and she swung herself up, and she didn't stop there. She kept reaching up for a branch, climbed up it, and reached for another. She did this until and was about up halfway, able to peek above the other trees, see the glade as the beautiful place it truly was.

And she sat on her branch, let her legs dangle over the side, rubbed her feet together to rid them of a bit of dirt. She listened, closing her eyes and allowing herself to relax a bit, let the tension run from her shoulders, disappearing after a couple minutes. She just, sat there for a while, minutes turned into hours, time passed quickly, and before she knew it, it was just before sunset, the runners had already returned and Minho looked for her in the crowd, grew concerned when she wasn't there.

After checking with Newt, he was pointed in her direction, and he walked into the woods, looking up and down trees for the woman he cared for. He looked for her dark hair, her green eyes, even though it would be a bit difficult, she seemed to blend in. He stood under one bright tree, turning in circles, and a leaf fell on his head, he looked up, and grinned. He climbed up the tree, one limb at a time until he was right beside her, and she looked over at him, a smile gracing her lips. "Its about time you got here."
