Chapter 23 – Gold Forever.

“Addi wake up, it’s Christmas.” Kat sang in my ear.

“What time is it?” I yawned rolling over to look at her.

“Five thirty.” She smiled.

I groaned flipping onto my stomach. “Kat how long have you been up?” I asked hiding my face under Nathan’s arm.

“Since four.” She said happily.

“Kat?”

“Yes?”

“Do me a favour and go tell Max exactly what you just told me.”

I waited a couple of minutes then I heard, “It is what bloody time in the morning!” a moment of silence. “I heard you the first time!” Silence.

I got up out of bed to make sure Max hadn’t strangled Kat. “Kat go to bed!” Max yelled pointing at the space next to Tom. Kat laid down.

Max left the room and walked into Kat and Siva’s then laid down next to Siva. I tried not to laugh as I crawled back into bed next Nathan.

I stay awake for about an hour then decided to piss Max off even more. I got up and Nathan grabbed my hand. “Where are you going?” he asked.

“To Kat’s room.”

“Why?”

“So she can give Max a bloody heart attack.” I replied shaking off his hand.

“Oh okay, that’s awesome.”

I walked over to Tom and Max’s room. “Kat.” I whispered.

She shot up like a bullet, “Yeah?”

“Max wants you to go and wake him up at six thirty.”

“What time is it now?”

“Six thirty.”

“How do you know?”

“I checked the time before I came in here.”

“Okay.” She ran from the room.

Tom sat up in the bed, I turned to him. “How yah doing Tom?”

“I woke up next to Kat this morning. I fell asleep next to Max and woke up next to Kat, I’m not how it happened, and I don’t care. In responds I’m having a good day.” He nodded his head getting off the bed.

“Holy shit Kat get off of me!”  we heard Max yell from the other room.

“But Max it’s Christmas.” She whined.

“Fine.” He sighed. They ran passed the door Max was carrying Kat like a five year old.

“Well I suppose we should get everyone else up.” I said.

“I’m not waking up Nath.” Tom threw his hands up.

“Fine you get Jace and Jay. I’ll get Nathan.” I said picking up one of the pillows off his bed. “And Siva,” I added walking out of the room.

“You’re awake?” I said looking in shock at Siva who was sitting in the chair in the corner.

“Yes I was waiting for Kat to come and wake us up this early. So glad Max took my place and carried her downstairs.”

I walked back to my room and Nathan wasn’t there. I threw the pillow I was planning to smack him with on the bed. I decided to get changed so I didn’t have to do it later. I opened my drawer and pulled out a pair of ripped jeans, then closed it and opened Nathan’s closet.  I pulled on one of his shirts and one of his overly large hoodies.
