Chapter 19 - Satellite.

Chapter 19 – Satellite.

I woke up before Jace, and realized that it was the day that it was the day that Jace and I had to go home.

I walked down the hall to see that Siva and Nathan were already awake. I walked through the house looking for myself. I walked into Tom’s room to put his iPod back on his shelf. I looked over at Tom who was lying wide awake with Kat curled up next to him. I raised my eyebrows at him.

“I still don’t have the heart to wake her up.” He whispered.

“Hey, Nath where is my stuff?” I asked turning out of Tom’s room and into Nathan’s

“What stuff?” he said.

“My sweaters and shirts and stuff.”

“Try the laundry. Or the corner.” He pointed to the pile of clothes in the corner of his room.

I walked over and rummaged through the pile. “Found them,” I picked them up and threw them into my open bags sitting on Kat’s bed.

“So how long is Kat gone for?” Jace asked sitting on the corner of the bed.

“Five days,” I said forcing the zipper on my bag. I grabbed my two bags and Jaces’ and carried them to her car. When I came back inside I saw Kat sitting on the edge of Tom bed with her bags packed.

“Adds do you mind taking mine to Tom’s car for me?” I nodded and grabbed her bags. She was leaving for the funeral.

“God we have two weeks of three girls in the house then we have none what are we going to do?” Max said walking down the stairs.

“Um, try not to destroy the place.” I replied sarcastically. Opened the front door and walked back outside. The freshly fallen snow tumbled into my sneaker.  I flung Kat’s bag into the back of Tom’s Ford Fusion.

“What do you think we are going to do burn the place down?” Jay asked when I returned to the house.

“Ah, yeah.” I nodded shaking the snow from my shoes and hair.

“You guys really don’t trust us that much?” Siva came out of the kitchen.

“Yes.” Jace and Kat said at the same time.

“Come on Kat we better leave now if you want to cache your flight.” Tom said handing her a jacket.

“Alright, bye everyone.” She hugged everyone then waved.

“We should leave too Adds.” Jace said after they were out the door.

“If we have to.” I sighed, pulling my wet sneaker back on.

“See later girls.” Max said opening the door for us.

“Bit to egger to get us out Max.”

“Oh, I can’t wait, Adds.” He teased.

“Wait I just realized something.” We all turn to Jay, “There is nobody to cook for us, for a week.”

“I’m sure you can manage a drive thru.” I laughed.

“Let’s go, Adds.”

“I’m coming Jace.” I kissed Nathan. “Bye guys.”

“See yah later.” Jace added from the door.

Once in the car I turned to her, “Can I ask you a question?”

“You just did. But go ahead.” She nodded.

“What do you think about spending Christmas at Grandmother’s house?” I asked.

“I thought you hated Nanny Blake.”
