Chapter 7 – Say it on the Radio.

 “I’m home, mum.” I yelled walking through the door.

“Oh, good did Kat get her dog?” she said coming out of the kitchen.

“Yeah, a Dalmatian. She named it Fenton.” I said walking up the stairs. “Jace, how’s Jay?” I asked teasing, walking into her room.

“Fine, how’s Nathan?” she replied.

“Fine.”

“Haha…What happened to your face?” she asked.

“That boy I stuffed in a rubbish slapped me no big deal.”  

“Addison it’s not nothing, if mum see’s that she will freak.”

“I know Jace. But what can I do?” I asked plopping down on her bed.

“Well let’s go hide out at the boys.”  She said.

“You just want to see Jay.” I teased.

“And you just want to see Nathan don’t deny it.”  She retorted happily.

I pulled out my phone and texted Nathan.

Hey are you guys home? – I sent.

I got a reply straight away. – yeah, why?

Can Jace and I hide out there for a while? Need to figure out how to explain the black eye to my mum.  –

Sure, Kat says you guys can bunk in her room. –

Within ten minutes Jace and I were piling into her car. We pulled up to the house and Max and

Kat were out in the front yard playing fetch with  Fenton.

“I thought you were so set against having a dog Max?” I asked walking over to them.

“It’s cute leave me alone.” He said.

“He’s house trained, he can sit, roll over, and play dead. I taught him all by myself.” Kat said excitedly.

“She’s had it for two hours.” Tom said coming out of the front door, followed by Nathan, Siva and Jay.

“What happened to you?” Jay asked looking at my face.

“A boy and a rubbish bin.” I replied.

“Oh, okay. That explains it.” He laughed.

Jace and I followed them into the living room. I sat on the floor and leaned my head against Nathan’s legs.

Kat walked in and said, “You guys can have my room I’m gonna bunk with Jay.” And walks back out.

I looked at Tom; he had a very subtle look that, barely joking he said, “What are you trying to do?”

“I don’t know she wanted the hammock.” Jay replied.

“Where are you planning to sleep?” Tom asked.

“The bed. It’s not like I’m going to sleep in the hammock with her.” Jay said trying not to laugh.

“I swear you guys are just doing this to torment me.” Tom scowled.

“But we love you Tom.” Max said.

“Aw that’s so sweet, who loves Tom?” Kat asked poking her head in.

“Who couldn’t love me?” Tom replied. Kat shrugged her shoulders and left again.

“Tom we need to teach you how to flirt, with this girl.” Nathan said.
