Chapter 26 –  Replace Your Heart.

I woke up on the couch between Tom and Jay. Kat was stretched out on half the couch with her head on Tom’s lap and the rest of her body on Max and Siva. I had my head on Tom’s shoulder and my legs stretched out over Jay and Nathan. Tom and I had kept the whole punching Kat’s drunken boyfriend in the face thing a secret. We decided it wasn’t the best story to tell at the moment. I’m not sure what happened between Nathan and I but what Kat had predicted was true, I acted mad for a few hours then we kissed and made up. My mum called five times, I only answered a call from Jace to let her know that this is where I actually was then hung up the phone.

I looked across the couch Jay, Max, Tom and Seev were all awake but Kat and Nath where still sound asleep. I silently moved my legs off of Jay so that he could move. The rest of the boys however were trapped under Kat. Tom however didn’t seem to mind that much. I flipped around on the couch so I could laid on Nathan’s lap instead or Tom’s arm. There was a knock on the door the moment I was about to fall back asleep.

Jay motioned for me to get it. So I got back up and realized I was still wearing yesterday’s clothes and so was everyone else. I almost laughed when I saw Kat still in her super pointy high heels.

I pulled open the front door, and was tackled to the ground. “Jace get off of me.” I grumbled pushing her off of me.

“You are never allowed to run away from home again.” She said hugging me again.  

“Jace get off of me.” I pushed her off again. “Just so you know if you came her to try to get me to go back home, I’m not going. Not yet anyways.”

She looked slightly crestfallen. She looked over my shoulder at Jay then back to me, “Nothing I can say will make you go back home?”

“Jace I’m not ready to go back home yet.” I said lying back down on the couch. Nathan was now awake but Kat was still trapping the boys.

“What if I told you home was only going to be two houses away from here?” she said pointing with both fingers to the right side of the house.

“What do you mean?” I asked wrapping Nathan’s arms around me.

“Well mum and Phil wanted to expand our house a little for the new baby so they are quite possibly buying the house down the street that’s for sale.”

“What?” I yelled sitting bolt upright.

“I didn’t do it!” Kat screamed waking up.

“Well I’d still rather be here for a while.” I said.

There was another knock at the door and Kat rose to get it. She spoke so quietly we couldn’t hear her then the door slammed and we all went to see what was happening. Kat was outside with Dan and they were obviously yelling at each other. I held back Tom who looked like he wanted to go outside and punch Dan himself. Dan’s hand came across Kat’s face, and this time it was Nathan, Jace, Jay and Tom holding me back from not only punching him in the face but also kneeing him repeatedly where the sun don’t shine until he cried for his mother. Kat took a swipe at him and he caught her arm smacking her in the face again.

But I guess Kat didn’t need my help she pulled off one of her shoes and threw it a Dan. He ran for his car trying to avoid the second shoe which lodged itself in the windshield shattering it on the passenger’s side.

Kat returned to the house with tears running down her face. “Don’t shed tears over the arse.” Max said to her.

“I’m not those were Alexander McQueen limited edition studded neon pink pumps.” she cried a little harder.

“Kat you deserve someone better than him.” Tom said. “Like me.” He muttered to himself not really wanting anyone to hear.

“What was that Tom?” Kat asked stepping closer to him.

“Tell her Tom.” Nathan whispered to him.

“Go ahead.” Jay added.

“Kat I-I love you.” He spat out.

She stopped crying, than started again. She dropped the jacket she was holding ran and jumped on Tom kissing him full on the mouth. “Why didn’t you say that in the first place silly.” She smiled through her tear then left downstairs to her workshop.

“I think she broke Tom.” Jay said poking him in the side of the head.

“This is the second best day of my life.” Tom announced.

“What was the first?” Siva asked.

“When I first met her.” He replied following Kat down the stairs.

“It’s about damn time they got together.” I said.

“Yes it is.” Max agreed.

An awkward silence followed.

“So…” I said looking around the room. “Anyone one want tea?” I asked.

“Sure I’ll help you make it.” Nathan followed me into the kitchen.

“I’m sorry about yelling at you yesterday.” I whispered to him.

“I’m sorry too.” He said.

I filled the kettle with water and put it on the stove. Nathan grabbed my waist and pushed me against the counter. “I love you.” He stated.

“Do you I never noticed.” I said sarcastically then kissed his nose.

“I mean it Addison.” He used my full name making me believe it even more, if that was possible.

“Well mister Sykes I love you too.” We kissed again and I sat myself on the counter.

“No PDA.” Max said walking by.

“Get a girlfriend.” I yelled back.

“I have a girlfriend, Heather remember?” he snapped back.

“Then go snog her.” Nathan added kissing me again.

Max left the room. “I’m going to go get changed,” I said.

I walked past the basement door just as it swung open and Tom walked out. “I swear to god she is the nineteen year old version of a toddler.”

“What do you mean?” I asked walking down the stairs.

“We just finished a game of tag.” He replied.

“Kat?” I asked walking into her workshop.

“Yes?” she looked up from a pattern she was cutting.

“Can I borrow a dress?”

“Yes you can borrow anything you want.” She said looking at me curiously.

I walked up the stairs and rummaged through Kat’s closet. I pulled on a simple green sundress and matching flats  and purse and walked down the stair while tying my hair in a ponytail.

“What’s with the fancy clothes?” Nathan asked looking at me.

“Long story.” I said.

OKAY THIS IS MY ATTEMPT AT A CLIFFHANGER.
