Crystalline's POV:
"We are not going," I yelled at Abby from behind the door.
"Why not," she whined. "Crystal, please! We both need this!"
"No, we don't! Trust me please!"
As she keeps begging to go, I can't stop thinking about what I heard, earlier today.
~EARLIER THAT DAY, AT RECESS~
I grabbed my sports uniform, and headed for the bathrooms. This school has many rules, and one of them is that we have to change before and after sport. Why can't we just keep our sports clothes on all day? I rolled my eyes as I thought about it. It's a stupid idea. I lightly hummed a old song my dad used to play on the speakers when we were cleaning the house. I stopped humming it as I got to the bathrooms. The door easily swung open as I pushed on it. I moved into a stall and began to change. I usually didn't listen to people coming and going, especially when Kara is involved, but they're conversation was hard to ignore.
"It's all ready," Kara asked.
"Yeah," another voice chimed. Miley's voice. "John has some grudges against her too, so he said he'll be happy to do it."
"Great. Now we just need to get her to the bar, give her the drink, and watch her pretty little reputation burn in flames."
Wait... What? Who?! I listened carefully, trying not to lean against the door.
"Wait... You're going to set her on fire?!"
"No! Miley, what's a metaphor?"
"It's a... oh... right."
"Idiot."
"Anyways, will I be allowed to have the drink too?"
"No, it'll be spiked."
"Oh... Can I have it without the spike?"
"No. I need you to not be drunk. Abby needs to get in trouble, or she'll keep doing what she always has. We need to stop her!"
Abby! Oh no! I need to get her to stay at my house with me.
"What's she always be doing?"
"She... grrr... come on."
I heard Miley yelp and their footsteps faded out of the bathroom.
I looked through the crack and saw them leaving. I tried to see if they had fully gone, but I slipped. I banged against the door and collapsed onto the ground.
"Ahhh," I groaned as I held my elbow in pain. It had a graze on it.
"Who's there," I heard Kara yell, her voice echoing throughout the bathroom.
I covered my mouth, trying to cover up whatever I could, even though I had been exposed. She banging hammering on the door with her fist.
"Open the door!"
I can't stay in here forever. I have to get up... and open the door. I stand up slowly, trying to keep my graze unaffected. I reach for the lock, which is moving vigorously due to the pounding from the other side.
"Open this fucking do-"
I opened it up wide, revealing me standing there, scared and... in underwear. It wasn't too bad, though, since I was wearing a sports bra, that barely shows anything, then some normal panties. I wasn't too fussed on the underwear though. I was focused on the sly and evil look I was getting from Kara.
"Well well well," she began. "Crystalline... How is it that Abby's new bestie just happens to hear our conversation?"
"I didn't hear anything."
