(Killian's P.O.V.)

When we get to the apartment, Emma and Henry sit on the couch. Henry motions for me to sit by him. I take the seat and relax.

"Where's your family?" Henry asks.

My heart drops at the question.

"I, uh, don't really have any..." I mumble.

"Everyone has family, it impossible not to," Henry says.

"Yes but not everybody has family that is living," I reply quietly.

The room goes silent.

After a minute or two, Emma says," Well, it's getting late. I'm gonna go to bed."

She walks out of the room.

"So," Henry says," how about that book?"

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"Your storybook that you've been carrying around. It sounds interesting. Can I see it?" he replies.

My head is spinning. Henry actually is starting to believe. I try to speak, but words don't come out. Instead, I just hand it to him.

"So you, uh, believe?" I question.

He nods. I grab the bottle from my pocket. Should I give some to him? It will revive his memories.

"Would you do me a favor?" I ask.

"Yeah, sure," Henry agrees.

"Drink this," I interrupt very quickly while handing the potion to him," it will help you remember. Please drink it, I promise it won't harm you."

Henry considers the suggestion. He grabs it from my hands.

"I trust you Killian," Henry says.

My heart rushes.

"Only drink half of it," I warn.

Henry opens the cap and pours half of the potion down his throat. I stay still for a moment.

"Hook?" Henry says.

"You remember!?" I exclaim a little to loudly.

"Yeah," he replies I, I do!"

I feel a smile spread across my face a mile wide.

"Good, great! I need your help to get your mother to remember now. Please, I have a plan, just go along with it tomorrow morning," I say.

Henry nods in agreement.

The next morning, Emma makes breakfast.

"What is this?" I ask, holding a strange square in my hand.

Henry whispers in my ear," That's a waffle."

"Got it," I say back.

I have water, she has grape juice, and Henry has hot cocoa. I look over to Henry, motioning for him to go on with the plan and he nods.

"Hey Mom," he says," you forgot the cinnamon."

As Emma turns towards the cupboards, Henry hands me the bottle with the memory potion, and I open it. Quickly, I pour the liquid into Emma's juice and put the bottle away right as Emma turns around.

We continue eating our food, but Emma never drinks her juice. Soon she stands up.

"Come on Henry, lets get you to school," she says.

"Uh-" I stutter," are you going to have your juice?"

"Oh yeah, I forgot," she says.

My heart beats faster as she picks up the cup. What will I say? She lifts the cup to her lips. Then she looks up into my hopeful eyes.

"Hook?" she exclaims.

I can barely channel my excitement.

"Swan!" I say.

Before I can say anything else, she runs into my arms. I hug back, and whisper in her ear," I missed you."

Typically now would be the time to release from the hug, but I don't let go and neither does she. After a minute or so, Emma releases, but grabs onto my hands. She goes on her tiptoes and puts her lips to mine. I willingly kiss back at first, but then I step back.

"I-I'm sorry," I say," we can't do this."

"What do you mean?" she asks.

"I mean, Neal is still out there. I don't want false hope. Every minute that I spend with you, I just fall more and more in love with you. But, I know deep inside that there is a good chance you'll choose Neal in the end, and that kills me, so, just," I can't continue. It's to painful. "I'm-I'm sorry," I say.
