More Than Rubies

Chapter 8

(Hook's P.O.V.)

(One Year Ago)

"Pleasure to meet you," Robin Hood says after shaking Regina's hand.

"Who locked you guys up in here?" I question, snapping Regina and Robin back into reality.

"Her name is Zelena," Robin says," she is wicked. We need to get out of here now, unless you are interested in being toast."

"Well then what are we waiting for?" I ask.

Robin leads the way while holding his son, Roland.

"So," Belle says," I guess Rumple wasn't in that cage."

"We will find him," Neal reassures," he's in here somewhere, I know it."

I walk alone behind everyone. Or at least so I think.

"You thinking about her?" Tink asks.

"When am I not," I respond.

"I know we will find her," she says.

"What makes you so sure?" I question.

"There's to many people here who love her and/or Henry to just let them love in that world with false memories," Tink assures me.

I look down at the ground while I walk, but stop when I realize everyone in front of me has stopped at a doorway. Robin, Regina, Snow, Neal and Charming are peeking in a room without saying a word. I step up and join them in peeking. There is a woman in there making some sort of potion. The woman is green.

"May I ask who that is?" I question.

"Zelena," Robin whispers," that's her."

Zelena walks into another room, so we walk into the room and examine the potion.

"What is it?" Neal asks.

"No idea," Regina replies.

We are about to examine it more, but stop when we hear footsteps coming down the hallway.

"Hide," I warn everyone.

We hide in a closet and watch as the green woman stirs and sniffs the potion.

"No," Regina whispers.

"What?" Robin asks.

"It can't be her," she says," this can't be happening."

"What is it?" Robin asks again.

"This woman, this witch- I know her," Regina says bitterly.

"Wh- who is she?" I question.

"Her name is Zelena," Regina says," she's my sister."

We all go silent when we see the witch start to pour the potion onto the ground, creating a portal. When she jumps into the portal, she disappears.

"A portal," Snow says.

We all walk towards the potion.

"You mean it can transport you through realms?" I ask, hopefully.

"Yes it does," Charming says, and gives me a reassuring pat on the back.

"Then what are we waiting for?" I ask, excitedly.

"This isn't the typical bean portal," Regina says," which means there is a different price to pay."

"What is the price?" I question.

Regina bends down and sniffs the potion.

"24 hours," she says.

"You can't be in the realm that you travel to for more than 24 hours," Regina informs me.

"It's worth the risk, what are we waiting for? Lets go find Emma and Henry," I reply.

"What about Rumple?" Belle asks, sadly.

I look at her face, hopeless and full of despair. That's how I've felt every time I've lost someone. Empty. I have to help her first.

"Regina, can't you cast a tracking spell to help locate the crocodile?" I question.

"If we have an item of Rumple's" Regina tells us.

Belle reaches around her neck.

"He gave me this," she says," would it count as his property?"

"That's perfect," Regina informs before waving her hand to cast the tracking spell," follow the necklace, and you will find Rumple in whatever state he is."

Belle gulps and begins to follow the path of the necklace.

"What now?" I ask.

"Now that the princess is occupied, we get back to finding my son," Regina says.

"Not so fast," a voice calls from behind.

"Zelena," Robin whispers," how did you-"

"It doesn't matter," Zelena replies," what matters is that I am here now."

David pulls out sword.

"What do you want?" he demands.

Zelena tosses David's sword out of his hands with the flick of her wrist.

"That is MY buisness," she answers.

She pulls out a bottle filled with the portal potion and starts to pour it onto the ground.

"Get back!" I tell the others.

But it is too late for some of them. Snow, David, and Neal fall down through the green spiral on the ground.

Zelena jumps in after them after saying," Good luck with finding your family and friends now!"

I look around. Now it is only Regina, Robin Hood, Roland, and me.
