Foreword, with a note on astrology...

This memoir consists of some of the most personal things I've ever written. It's full of stories and memories that people usually keep to themselves. But I wanted to document this past cataclysmic summer while also making something beneficial out of all of it's chaos. Thankfully, I do believe I have accomplished that with the stories I retell in these upcoming pages.

The memoir has eleven chapters, one for each track on the album. Each one elaborates on the story I painted in the music, and since it is an instrumental album, I also wanted to include a literary retelling of the encounters and people that inspired the songs. Although some chapters overlap, they can be read independently, and therefore every chapter doesn't have to be read. However, I do invite you to read it all, if you wish, in the order I present them, despite it not being necessary.

Lastly, I would like to note that I am releasing this memoir and the album it accessorizes on my birthday, during the astrological sun time of Sagittarius and the astrological moon time of Scorpio. To those who are unaware, sun sign Sagittarians are optimistic philosophers that often have commitment issues due to their obsession with curiosity and freedom. Keeping that in mind, know that Scorpios are clever, romantic, determined, and emotional. Combine these two signs, and the concept of this album will emerge: a cleverly emotional and optimistic retelling of the independence I experienced this past summer, despite my numerous euphoric and romantic encounters.
