I have to do a little shameless promo for my favorite show, 'Star.' If you haven't heard/seen this show I don't know what you're doing with your life. It's amazing, its a mixture of romance, drama, a lot of suspense and a little bit of comedy. Lee Daniels created the show, he also created 'Empire.' So on September 27 @ 9, watch the Empire and Star crossover.
My favorite character is Alexandra or Alex for short. She's the rich one in the group, except she doesn't use her parent's money anymore because she wants to do everything on her own. I love her and Derek together. Hopefully this season we see more lovey-dovey scenes between them.
There's a ton of plot twists in this show, like the amount of time I've said "Yooooo what just happened??" is crazy. The show is very diverse, they have a biracial character, Simone, a darker skinned character, Alex, the white girl, Star, we got Jahil, their Hispanic manager, Cotton, a transgender woman and Miss Bruce, he's genderfluid.
The show's soundtrack is AMAZING. Every episode has catchy songs and I can listen to them on repeat. MY absolute faves are 'I Bring Me' the shows theme song, and 'You Got It.' Almost all of the songs are on Apple Music, Spotify, and Youtube.
I really hope you guys watch the show, it's amazing, it touches on a ton of different social issues and I hope everyone can relate to the show.
