miles

i parked in my drive way, looking at charlie as she puts her hair up, hairtie between her teeth. "you're pretty," my mouth cooes, making the girl smile and turn a different shade, "pretty gay."

"i will fling this hairtie up your ass." she said, using the tie to knot her hair. "don't test me, little boy." i bite my tongue, holding back a large grin from her small threat.

"ooh, kinky."

"don't even."

we both let out a smaller laugh, geting out of the car. i hurrily unlock my door, seeing charlie walking quickly behind me. "sorry, no girls allowed." i say, closing the front door as she made her way.

"i will bring out the hairtie." charlie exclaims, hitting her fist against the door. this was familiar, deja vu settling in. "open up."

"password? " i joke, leaving the girl thinking hard, she opens her mouth to speak. hearing the made up answer.

"let me in or i'll throw you." charlie laughed while making a yet another attempt to threaten me. i nod at her, pulling the 'it's a hate crime' while also making slight giggles. "move, I need to pee!" the gal whined.

"okay, gosh." letting her in, she sets her stuff down, finding her way to the restroom. i place my phone on the charger, heading to my bedroom to change.

closing the door, i head to the closet, picking out a plain black tshirt and a pair of ripped jeans. i change quickly, wanting to just lay back and sleep.

considering i hadn't gotten much rest last night, i could only dream of laying in my bed and taking the world's longest nap.

i heard a knock on my bedroom door, a quick but loud one. "let me in, i'm lonely! " i hear through the door, making me scoff and open it.

"sorry, professional youtubers only." i laugh, closing the door slightly, which was pushed open by a soft hand. the girl rolled her eyes and scoffed, her 2 million subscribers could eat me up.

"i don't know why you're in here then." charlie laughed, sassy tone and teenage giggles. i fake a gasp and shake my head. her comebacks were stale.

"bitch," my voice cracks, making a loud echo around the house, "i'm a fucking pro, i invented youtube, hoe." i clap my hands in her face, she pushes my hands down while shaking her head.

charlie left that smile on her face, i hope she keeps it there for awhile.

she sighs with laughter in her voice, speaking in a small tone and eye contact. "we should stay in, have a pizza night again?" i stare blankly into her eyes, her head pops up.

"stay in?" i choke with a grin. she wanted to hang out more, is all i collected from the words. "sly way to make plans, charlie."

realizing what she had just said, she scoffs. "i mean, n-not like, you know?" charlie's face was red and flustered, it's the affect i have on women obviously.

i pull my lips, saying yes to the suggestion, "of course, stay in, watch movies and eat pizza. totally not a date." i wink with sarcasm lacing my voice. charlie nods, breaking eye contact.

"i still have half a box left at mine." charlie nods to me, backing up from the space between us. "last night was boring, i had higher expectations for the ouiji."

the disappointment lingers in her voice as she spoke, i nod my head, agreeing with her. "what did you expect?" the topic became known.

"to be fucking murdered, miles. i expected so much more than a lazy board." charlie exclaims, moving her hands around in the air dramatically. "it was just- boring."

"you wound me, char." i place my hand over my chest. "first, i'm not the shit on social media. then, you call me boring."

charlie put her hand on my shoulder, putting a sorry face on, "news flash, i'm the shit now." she shrugged and held a laugh, not struggling to keep a straight face.

i move my body to my bed, sitting comfortably. i act as if i was taking time, "news flash, you're going to get your ass kicked, bitch. " i raise my voice, my acting skills go through the roof.

i point a finger at charlie as a threat, as she stood there with her arms crossed. "bring it," charlie walks closer to me, getting in my face and whispering, "bitch."

i gasp, turning into a laugh, "is this the part where we make a porno?" i ask to charlie, who has backed away from my face. i look up at the girl, giving her my signature smile.

"i think so?" saying while looking confused and smiley, she sat on my bed next to me, then threw herself back. "i'm tired." charlie whined loudly.

gladly, a new conversation grew. we then talked about our lives on the internet for so long. we have known each other long, but never acted on it until that film.

meghan would always say she felt the tension from miles away, which i'd disagree. once charlie left la, it was messy and we just never spoke after.

i still watched a few of charlie's videos, and she had seen mine as well. since we were in the lgbt+, we inspired a lot of the younger audiences and are very passionate about our work.

charlie often got distracted in her videos and dazed in her work, as i was very focused and into mine. we were different while filming, and anyone could tell.

We told each other about our weirdest fan encounters, amazing fan encounters, best trips or tours. it was a lot i've missed from her leaving.

we sat there for almost an hour, just talking and enjoying each others company. though, her and i were interrupted by my phone, ringing away. i took my phone off the charge and looked at the name.

"meg, what's up?" I asked, putting the call on speaker.

"hey, miles. i'm on my way to your house, getting starbucks right now, you want your normal drink?" i hear her voice from the other line.

meg was my closest friend, we always spent time with one another. surely, we'd be roomates by next year, we had been before.

she was not only my main support, but her being around so often allowed me to film whatever was happening. it was never a plain day in videos.

"i'm with charlie, i want the normal. get char one or die." i reply, looking at charlie and she had rested her eyes, hearing what i had said made her smile a little.

"already on it. i bet she's pretty tired."

"yeah, really tired."

"what'd you guys do last night? do tell." meghan's voice sounded flirty, she probably thinks i had asked char out already, clearly i haven't.

yes, i knew it was too soon. it was always too soon, with charlie. maybe it wasn't the right time, anyway. she had just gotten back last month from god knows where.

"hi, meggy!" charlie yelled to my phone, greeting the caller. the voice on the other line greets back, we both hang up and now we wait for meghan.
