"........"
Jonathan decided to take a walk on the beach to clear his head.
*flashback*
Clementine came down the stairs with clothes in her hands.
"Clementine," Jonathan called out.
She turned to him.
"What's with Ev-Vanoss and that uh, Sydney?"
"Oh, she and him are in a relationship; tough lovers," she answered him.
Jonathan never felt so betrayed; he was used. He felt used.
"Is everything alright sir?"
"...yes...I'm gonna...take a walk...get some fresh air," Jonathan choked back tears.
"...there's a back door with a path to the beach," Clementine offered.
"Thanks Clem."
*end flashback*
Jonathan still felt tears coming down his face as the clouds began to gather in the sky. He walked to the edge of the water; a wave was about to splash him. He put his hand up to block the splash, but the water never came. He looked to see the water was suspended.
What the fuck?, he lowered his hand and the water went down with it.
Jonathan squatted down and reached his hand out; water shot from the wave and wrapped around his arm. He let out a small scream, shaking his arm. The water splashed off.
"Jonathan?," Jonathan heard Brock's voice, "Are you here?"
Brock popped out from behind a rock and approached Jonathan with a concerned look.
"Oh, hey Brock," Jonathan waved nervously.
"Is something wrong?," Brock asked.
"What? Oh no. Everything is fine."
"Then what are you doing out here?"
"Um...fresh air."
"Fresh air?"
"Yeah, fresh air."
Brock knew when Jonathan said that, something was bothering him. Jonathan would go outside for "fresh air" whenever he had something on his mind.
"Alright," Brock nodded, "I just came to tell you that lunch was ready."
"Ok," Jonathan nodded back.
They walked back to the mansion together; Jonathan was completely lost in his thoughts. When they arrived back, Vanoss was standing by the staircase with a worried look. When he spotted Jonathan he sighed in relief.
"Thank goodness; I didn't know where you went," he said to the brunette.
He walked up to him and hugged him.
"I just went for a walk," Jonathan answered.
Vanoss pulled back to look in his eyes for any sign of troubles. Jonathan wasn't quick enough to shut all the doors, some of his thoughts flowing out in streams; Vanoss's eyes seemed to consume them.
"Ok," Vanoss sighed, "Lunch is ready; everyone is waiting for us. I suggest you join us."
Jonathan walked to the dining room with Brock right behind him. Jonathan sat on Vanoss's right while Sydney sat on his left, giving him this smile that Jonathan didn't like.
"So, Vanoss," Sydney picked up her goblet, "Going on any trips anytime soon?"
Jonathan but back a growl as the pair chatted. He noticed that the soup he was having for lunch started to boil and steam more. He looked at Sydney's drink and smirked.
"Oh, and Vanoss. I hope I could- AACK!," Sydney felt the wine fall onto her dress.
Vanoss rushed to her side as she started cursing and whining. Jonathan just took a sip of his drink as he enjoyed the scene that played out before him.
Serves that bitch right, he agreed with himself.
After lunch Sydney went on her way, leaving the men to themselves.
