''Dammit!'' I cursed, pulling a strand of my hair behind my ear furiously. ''I don't get this shit!''

I heard my best friend snicker from the couch. ''Sucks to be you.''

I turned around and shot him a glare. ''Michael, I swear to God, I'm gonna beat your ass if you don't shut up this instant.'' I threatened and he rolled his eyes.

''It's not my fault you're bad at Calculus. '' he mumbled, stuffing another bite of pizza into his mouth.

I groaned.

''What should I do? We have those quizzes tomorrow!'' I exclaimed, making him shrug.

''Find someone to explain it to you.'' he simply said. I narrowed my eyes slightly. ''Like?''

Michael chuckled. ''Well don't look at me. I'm worse in Calculus than you are!''

I slumped back in my chair with a helpless look on my face. ''I'm screwed man.''

I grabbed my phone and just randomly went through it when my eyes caught something.

''Should I?'' I mumbled to myself. Michael gave me an interested glance. ''What?''

''He said he has no problem with-Of course! God, how that I didn't remember?'' I exclaimed suddenly and that made my friend even more confused. I just waved my hand, pressing the phone to my ear, listening to the ringing. Ari made me take his number, she took it from some jock who knows him. So, yeah.

''C'mon, pick up dammit!'' I hissed. Just as I was about to hang up, a voice spoke.

''Miss me already, huh?'' he said cockily into the line. I rolled my eyes with I sigh.

''Listen. I need your help. ''

''Bye Mike. '' I mumbled as I shoved him out of my house. He grinned widely at me, adding a sly wink. ''Have fun with the bad boy, Emerson.''

I made a grimace at him. ''Goodbye Clifford. '' and then slammed the door shut.

I wasn't mad at him or anyone. Just pissed because of everything.

I was about to go upstairs and change when the doorbell rang. I turned on my heels and opened the door.

And sure enough, he was standing there in his usual charming self, a cocky smile plastered upon his face. It only grew as he saw me and he dug his teeth in his bottom lip, slightly pulling on the metal ring hanging on it.

''Hi Chloe. '' his voice seemed deep and... hot. God dammit Chloe, stop having these thoughts.

I pushed them aside and smiled lightly at him, stepping to the side to let him get in, mumbling a small  'hello'.

''Nice place. '' he commented as he made his way further inside my house, into the living room.

''Yeah, um, follow me.'' I told him, starting to walk upstairs with him closely behind.

I closed the door of my room and went to open my curtains a bit so the light could come in. I turned around to find the blonde boy already seated on my bed, staring at me intently.

''So, uhm...'' I muttered, sudden feeling of nervousness appearing. Luke's eyes  watched me as I crossed the room and sat  on the  chair in the corner. ''Basically. ... I need your help.''

It seemed as if Luke actually struggled to hold  back a smile. I don't know why though. Was I funny? Did I have something on my face? Did I say something stupid?

''You already told me that. Now, elaborate.'' he said, his lips curving into a smile.

I nodded  slowly. ''I need your help with...'' oh, just spit it out, Chloe! ''...Calculus.'' I breathed and his eyebrows shot up. I reckoned that didn't surprise him that much but  I can say he was surprised by the  fact that I called him to help me with that. I wonder what he had  expected. ..
