They called him crazy.
He perceived the world
differently

He knew the fear
of spinning
at racing speeds
as we all do, but
N o b o d y k n o w s
it is happening.
Crazy, they said.

Understanding
Mr. Galileo,
Telescopic revolution.
In my day,
They call people crazy-
For being different.
Mentally ill artists
crying poets
shaking actors
nervous painters
O f c o u r s e w e a r e c r a z y.
Crazy strong.
Crazy creative.
Crazy raw, honest, and smart.
Putting aside your ableism would be a
fine start.
Don't call me crazy
for perceiving the world
differently;
perceiving the world
correctly.
I am another Galileo.
